Yesterday, Governor Christine Gregoire singed into law a bill that wipes out the initiative passed by a majority of voters in Washington State that held the state legislature to needing a 2/3 majority to raise taxes.
According to this poll, 68% of the residents of Washington think that she was wrong to do so.
Let’s hope they remember come November and vote some R’s into the state Senate and House.

The lesson here is to have all iniatives drawn as Constitutional Amendments. Takes more votes to pass, but when they do, they’re locked in.
