Thinking is difficult for them
With 4.5 million members, MoveOn is now bigger than the NRA. Maybe our leaders should think about that for a while.

And because thinking is difficult for them, Ms. Hamsher doesn’t like to remember that MoveOn is not a civic group funded by members, as is the NRA, but is instead a fringe group largely funded by the horriffic duo Soros & Pritzker.
Secondly, if MoveOn stuck to a single issue, as does the NRA, 75% of their membership would leave.
Gee, how many members do you think MoveOn.org would have if they CHARGED for a membership? According to their web site, they only raised less than $5M for all candidates, which would be only about a dollar per member.
How many members would the NRA have if they gave away memberships, or even charged just one buck? I’m guessing tens of millions, easy.
Actually, in the wake of McCain-Feingold, the NRA added free speech as an ancillary issue, since M-F seemed largely designed to shut up groups like the NRA.
…and how many armed members can the MoveOn.org claim?
