You’ll have to excuse me, I’m still getting caught up on reading my blogroll so I apologize if I’m late with this one.
It seems as though Fidel is going to get another bunch of admirers down to the country he turned into a shithole for a ‘visit’.
The American band Audioslave is to become the first US rock act to give a free open-air concert to audiences in Communist Cuba. The event, on Friday night, has been given the rare approval of both the Cuban and US governments.
For those not in the know, Audioslave is the resurrection of Rage Against The Machine, except with Chris Cornell, formerly of Soundgarden, in the lead vox slot.
Luckily for me, I was never concerned with RATM and was highly unimpressed with Audioslave, feeling that they hadn’t come close to their potential, and own none of their albums.
Now if we could just get the rest of the “No Blood for Oil� rock bands down their and deny them re-entry to the US, I’d be happy.
