Psychotic Repression?

Or Progressive Projection?

You make the call!

Unhinged dKos inmate “Vyan” can’t take the heat, but won’t leave the kitchen

Now it may seem rude to ascribe psychologic problems to those whom you disagree with – but it’s not like they haven’t been doing it to those in the center and left for a long time.

To them, if you don’t see things their way you must be suffering from what Charles Krauthhammer describes as Bush Derangement Syndrome.

The acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush.

Those who criticize the Adminstration are trapped in an obsessive fixation and hatred of all things wrought Bush. You’re a tree-hugging, kumba-yah singing, burkenstock wearing, Michael Moore-loving, cut and running leftie. You’re soft. Weak. You simply don’t understand the hard realities of the world. We have to be tough to fight these terrorists.

We have to use each and every means at out disposal to the fullest and put the Constitution and Geneva Conventions on the back burner until we achieve final victory (whatever that is.)

Sorry Charles, but that’s just plain nuts, and it’s hightime we gave this disease a name.

Bullshit Addiction Disease (BAD): the acute inability to recognize the total complete bullcrap of the Bush Administration and NeoCon-wing, and the obsessive need to have it continually shovelled on top of you by Faux News, Right-wing radio, The Washington Times and the Weekly Standard- 24/7.

It’s practically an epidemic.

I’m sure we can all agree that “Vyan” is in denail about her acute case of BDS. What else could you say about a person who denies the condition exists, then rants on and on about the subject of their derangment, and essentially calles everyone who doesn’t agree with them ‘addicted to bullshit’?

Casting Aspersions

Sadly Gavin at the leftist SadlyNoblog just can’t take the fact that some of the photgraphs which came out of Lebanon a couple weeks back were proved to have either been manipulated or staged.

Sadly Gavin desides to point out his disappointment by linking to the Confederate Yankee, whose eagle eye has caught more than one below the ethical board photo, when CF writes about the passing of Iwo Jima flag raising photographer, Joe Rosenthal, and the psuedo controversy over whether the phot was staged.

The Confederate Yankee takes Sadly Gavin to task in the comments section at SN, and then quotes a combat photojournalist who complimented CF for his skill in spotting the frauds at his place.

The SadlyNoblog’s peanut gallery has to be one of the saddest gaggles in existence. They want to talk about nearly anything else but the topic at hand.

What is this

It’s like the blogging left are so confident in their success this upcoming November that they’re pushing the gun issue again

Joe from the ineptly named AmericaBlog says that violent crime is on the rise and it’s Bush’s fault.

Another Bush legacy: increased crime and violence

He even includes the typical gun-bigotry heavy Reuters link.

Then the wholly unfunny Jesus’ General goes and mocks people using their privately and legally owned firearms for self defense.

Bring it on boys. Keep harping this loser of an issue.

I’ve always wanted to ask why they’re so willing to disarm the average citizen when they say how much of a dictator Bush is? Whenever I do pop that into their comments section, I get an OT response.

It’s like they’ve never thought of it that way.

Imagine that, they’re not thinking.

A New Sensation

That’s sweeping the nation: Your very own, personal, Bill of Rights!

I guess the original one isn’t good enough for American’s these days, which is probably why they haven’t a clue at to what it actually says. Myself, I like to put it behind everything I write here.

The City of Portland and Multnomah County recently gathered a handful of children (400) to ‘ratify’ a Children’s Bill of Rights written by the Mayor’s wife and an even smaller number of children (30).

There was no word in any article I read on this as to whether the children who wrote it or the children who voted on it can actually recite a word from the original BoR.

You can go here and read the text of this bit of idiocy, thanks to the Orb (who, for having a rather round name is really just rather tall and not round).

Luckily, the thing is just a symbolic piece and is non-binding, but though this article questioned whether it will lead to policy changes, I can guarantee it will. The mayor whose wife wrote it is trying to get the state to up the tax income to pay Washington DC size money for schools. Now that he has this, his “For the Children!!” cry will have weight behind it. It may be water weight, but I can’t see how the Oregon Legislature can resist it.

This is what is sounds like when doves whine

Just like the Artist Formerly Known as Prince who is known as Prince again’s mother, the left is never satisfied.

When Mel Gibson went on his raodside anti-Jew rant the entirety of the left wing went and tried to use that as proof that because Gibson was supposedly closer to the right than the left (because he has religious convictions), the right was anti-Semetic (even though Bush’s involvement in the Middle East was because of his belief that we needed to support Israel to bring on the Rapture).

But now, when 80 some-odd members of the Hollywood elite (most of whose names even I recognize) put out a letter of support for Israel and actaully called Hama and Hezbollah to the carpet, members of the American left are starting a letter writing campagn to the signers of last week’s letter in protest.

The right has it’s own gaggle of insipid letter capaigns, but good lordy, at least they’re consistent.

Found at the AoSHQ via the Gateway Pundit

Btw, yes, I know the title and lead line were long, draw out stretches and the extensive paretheses were a bit much, but I gave up trying to bring teh funny at around 4am this morning.

I’ll try better, stronger, faster tomorrow (or maybe even later today if the sleeping goes well).

Meeting of the Hinds: Day 2

The second day of the conference was much more casual than the previous day. Others in my profession of educating future models were able to relax and compare new techniques, what works and what doesn’t, and just have a wonderfully good time in general. I had given my presentation first thing, so I was able to get that out of the way and gladhand with some of the attendees.

I was able to reconnect with people I hadn’t seen in a while an you can imagine my surprise to find out that one of my former students, Miss Kassie, is now working her way into an instructing position.

I know for a fact that no matter what position she gets, she’ll do one heck of a job.

It is their answer to everything

Scenario: Man goes to Swedish Furniture Cult store, IKEA, to buy a kitchen countertop. He waits a long time in line to purchase said countertop, then even longer to have the store employees bring it to his vehicle. He gets home, unwraps it, and it is the wrong style countertop!

What is a fella to do when this happens?

Elect more Democrats!

At least that is the answer given by one of the inmates at the Klueless Kos Kid’s Animal Farm and Petting Zoo here.

Myself, I’d just never shop at IKEA again. They’re looking for any excuse to blame something on the right-wing of the US and vote for Democrats.

How desperate.

A Meeting of the Hinds

I never should have left my cozy retreat. I really shouldn’t have.

Upon my arrival back at the beach house, I found that I had a very nice young lady awaiting me with a message about a conference I was supposed to attend, but over the past couple weeks had managed to forget about. She let me know I had less than two hours to pack up and catch my plane back to the continental US. I packed quickly and because she was a professional, got me to the airport in plenty of time.

The conference started on Friday so I had a day to figure out who I was inviting and get them properly attired.

With a phone call I was able to reach Miss Trista and get the appropriate measurements for her outfit.

I got this picture of her in the entrance hall to the conference center. I had wandered off while she put her coat in the cloakroom and could have taken probably another dozen photos before she spotted me behind her.

Heavy, Man

If you click on no other links I offer up today, make sure to click on this one leading to Mr. Completely’s place for a pictoral surprise.

Description: Mr. C rocking out circa 1971.

It must have been winter. How else can he explain those muttonchops?

Whoa

Just whoa. That is all I can think to say about the left wing site One Planet, One Nation.

I was going through my left wing link-roll, searching for something outrangeously ignorant, and damn if I didn’t find it there. I’ve seen a lot on this interweb-thingy, and I could count on my fingers how many of them actually turned my stomach. I’m now out of fingers after going to OPON (except for maybe my middle one).

I found the link to this festering hole of what I would like to label “anti-semitism for the hell of it” at the supposedly mainstream Democrat site, Crooks and Liars, where they were promoting a link to OPON’s hosting of the BBC documentary “The Power of Nightmares”.

According to the description given by OPON, the documentary “assesses whether the threat from a hidden and organized terrorist network is an illusion. In the concluding part of the series, the program explains how the illusion was created and who benefits from it.”

The terrorist network they are quesitoning the existence of is al-Qaida.

Another one of the links I followed yesterday was to this post at the HuffPo by Ross Levine.

While I didn’t get the pukey taste in my mouth with this one as I did from OPON, I did feel slightly less intelligent for having read it.

The post is titled “Why War”, and in it he has this to say about the US Military:

And what can you say with certainty about this U.S. military tumor that keeps growing every day? Well, for one thing, it is not benign. No matter how many times our chief “W”itch doctor insists the growth is not malignant, don’t believe him.

He also analogizes:

An army is like a gun; if it’s in the drawer, you’ll use it.

My guess is that he would rather that the entirety of the nation be as helpless against attack as the subjects to the crown are in the UK.

I can only guess that he wrote the post in complete seriousness, which leads me to believe that he never took a history class after he left junior high school, because of this sentence:

Can you imagine, the Nazis were steamrolling through Europe, the Japanese were annexing Asia, and Roosevelt still couldn’t drag us into war until the Japanese made a mess of Pearl Harbor.

The Japanese weren’t “annexing Asia”, they were raping it and slashing it’s throat open. Likewise, they didn’t “make a mess” of Pearl Harbor, they nearly crippled our entire Pacific Naval Fleet while killing over 2000 of our citizens.

I’d point out more of his gross understatements and marginalizations, but I am about to fire up the grill for breakfast. For me to transcribe any further would probably make me too obtuse to grill safely.
