I’m Blaming This One on David . . .

Greetings from Michigan.

It’s still Winter  . . . .

Back in early January, David posted about his shotgun class and showed a picture of a Mossy 930. Unbeknownst to me, a little seed found some fertile soil in my brain matter and after some appropriate germination time, I found myself running around (well, driving) the local gunny store circuit and checking out semi shottys. A bit more than a week after David’s post, I had added another 12 ga. to the brood . . . .

Do Ghost Ring sights have an advantage against Zombies?

A Benelli M2.

The same store also had an M4 all camo’ed up and tactical with a pistol grip. The damn thing weighed a couple pounds more than the M2 and it was noticeably awkward to get to my shoulder in a hurry. Didn’t much care for it.

Moving along, since I didn’t want to buy a second M2 and tie wrap them together in order to have an adequate double barrel defensive weapon of the type recommended for Delawareians by a Delawareian, I instead opted for a mag extension from Nordic Components . . . .

Adds 3 more rounds in the waiting-in-line-to-chamber tube. Also obtained was a barrel clamp with a itsy bitsy teeny weeny picatinny rail in case I want to hang a candle on the M2 for use after sundown.

With the updates installed, the M2 looks way more ferocious. GRRRRR . . . .

Now I stand a chance of placing well at the local mall ninja skeet league finals.

Now, the this post ought to end here, but Nooooo, I just HAD to inquire of the nice man behind the gunny counter whether they might perhaps have a 22/45 Lite in stock. Turns out they did and now I do. Dang you all to heck David!!!

Whilst rummaging through the ammo cabinet, I came across this unopened box . . . .

Um excuse me, is the ammo in the produce aisle or over by the fresh meats?

Later.

Awesome! Great finds and luscious photography as always!

Yes on the ghost rings, and yes on the candle. A Streamlight TLR-1 is what we’re using on our shotguns. You may want something with an extended pressure switch depending on where your hand falls on the forearm. Also, I don’t see a sling attachment? You need a sling…. Anyway, that’s a NICE gun there!

Did you shoot that backdrop hide yourself? I need to get myself one of those….

Depending on your house, the sling may be more an encumbrance than a help. I have plans to put together a 12-gauge HD shotgun for myself, I have narrowed it down to the Mossberg 590 or Remington 870. Probably won’t be able to afford it for quite some time, however…
