The horror….

Click to embiggen. We really need to hurry up and file that Calguns court challenge to Cali’s AWB. That frikkin’ law is making Californians do awful things to perfectly happy bolt-action rifles just to get a Black Rifle fix.

On second thought, though, this sure reminds me of Frederick Forsyth’s weapon for the Jackal. At the age of 10 I made a play version out of my sheet music stand. It was pretty cool.

Just personal, but I like my Mosin just the way the Russkies made it. The Mosins were NEVER meant to be a “black rifle”, and anyway, isn’t that concept supposed to be for a semi-auto weapon? Putting a plastic stock on a Mosin will never make it into a “black rifle”.

The Jackal’s rifle was a 22 Magnum, was it not? Or perhaps a 22LR? The Mosin 7.62X54 version would make the suppression somewhat, well, problematical, to say the least.

Looks like something out of a bad ‘Made for the Sci-Fi channel’ movie, doesn’t it?
