There is a new Sherlock Holmes series out, titled simply “Sherlock”.
Set in the current day, it is utterly fascinating and works so wonderfully well that I’m labeling it a “Must-See”. Unlike those other “Must-See” programs you’ve heard about, this one will actually entertain while putting you on the edge of your couch (or recliner, if that is more your style).
Even if you aren’t a big Sherlock Holmes fan, you may as well watch it. Your tax dollars are helping pay for it to be purchased and broadcast.
Check your local PBS listings for it. While it has run through all three episodes already, they’ll replay it. That is what PBS does. Or, do what I’m doing and buy the DVD at the link.
Saw the first one, part of the second; not bad at all. Especially with Doc Watson’s attitude toward firearms; seems very much like the original.
It was excellent, saw all three, was hoping for more…
They have apparently announced in Britain that the original 3 were so well received on both sides of the Atlantic that they will not end the miniseries on the 4th episode but will make more.
Unfortunately… none of them are made yet.
