Octopus steals divers camera while it’s filming and the diver eventually got it back and put the video on YouTube. Then the Octopus grabbed onto the divers speargun and wouldn’t let go, so the diver took him for a ride.
Octopii are cool, scary smart, and obviously not too afraid of us humans.
Octi: That’s MAH camera, you SCRUB!

I hope someone is keeping an eye on those things. At the first hint that they’re developing opposable thumbs we’d better take off and nuke ’em from orbit.
It’s their lifespans that we need to watch… Pretty sure they can handle most manipulations without thumbs.
