While I am away at Boomershoot, The Wife will be prepping the guest bathroom for the contractor who’ll begin doing the remodeling on it next Monday.
She got to choose the vanity, sink, faucet and mirror. We both worked hard to choose the flooring. I was allowed to voice my opinion of the paint color by choosing one color to go with her selections. I used my “artistic eye” to decide which one would work best with the other colors we were including.
I am pleased to announce that my single choice ended up being the winner!
The color is “Shiitake”.
So now, if you visit Firebase Blue, you can take a shit in my Shiitake colored bathroom.
That is so much Win, I am amazed that my head is still attached.
I’m on the road in the AM and don’t know when I’ll be talking to y’all next. So be good to one another and there’ll be pics up by Monday night.

Does the choice of shiitake as a color mean that all the smells coming from that bathroom will resemble mushrooms cooking?
For whatever reason, every time I read that word it first registers in my more or less functional lil’ ol’ brain as “Shitcake”. There are several words which do somewhat the same thing. Fortunately I find it funny.
