If the shoe fits

The Calgon President.

It’s funny because it’s true.

I would like to show my even handedness by pointing out that I don’t disagree with President Calgon on everything. But I’d also like to note for posterity that it took him 50 damn days in office to say something I agree with.

Now to see if he will walk this talk.

Mr. Calgon may have some good ideas regarding how to improve education. Well, except for the fact that the federal government shouldn’t have anything to say about education at all. They especially shouldn’t be funding it, or coercing the states via federal funding.

Now, if he were a Governor or Mayor or somesuch, it would less offensive, but he’s still advocating for expanding the Department of Education, not eliminating it.

I completely agree, Geek. But I’m willing to accept any little baby steps I can get, whenever I can get them.

Until we get the teacher’s unions kicked to the curb and out of the way of the instruction of youth, I’ll take what I can get.
