You all still there?

Then it would appear that all the sayers of doom were rightly wrong and the world has not imploded upon itself after the CERN LHC was fired up.

    hey, they just did a test-run, one-directional. There was no collision of atoms yet. When they do collide them there atoms later on, they WILL create SkyNet, and then we’re all screwed.

    Nah, the real collision is scheduled for Oct. 21st, and the libs are really worried about it because it will suck us all into the dimension where McCain wins in November. Why else do you think they’re so desperate to stop it?

    I keep remembering when they figured out what happened in Into The Looking Glass; the lead guy said “I can see Professor Whoosis saying “Let’s see what happens” and pushing the button.

    So if a funny-looking mirror shows up in the yard, grab a gun.
