This’ll be entertaining

Freak on freak courtroom hijinks. I just wish they’d sell tickets.

Trial is starting in Olympia in the lawsuit brought by the Ramtha School founder JZ Knight against another spiritual teacher called WhiteWind Weaver.

In the trial on today’s calendar in Thurston County Superior Court, the Ramtha school in Yelm school accuses Weaver of using some of its teachings in her classes at Rainier.

Knight says she channels the spirit of an ancient warrior named Ramtha. Weaver attended a Ramtha seminar and signed a contract agreeing not to use the teachings for her own commercial purposes.

“You sole my schtick!”

“No I didn’t! I made this crap up all by myself!”

One thing not too widely known, the Ramtha folks have a compund in a little town called Yelm, and they have full-auto weapons for their security folk. I don’t know how they got it swung, possibly through some slight-of-cash work to a previous governor, but they are serious about keeping those they don’t want inside the compound, out.

They probably got the full-auto armed peace force through the same way the Rajhneesh did in OR 20 years ago, they threatened to sue EVERYONE if they didn’t get their way, and had their staff of lawyers actually draw up the suits.

    From wikipedia:
Judy Zebra Knight (born Judith Darlene Hampton on March 16, 1946, in Roswell, New Mexico) is a self-proclaimed channel as well as the CEO of JZK, Inc., parent company of Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment. Knight says that on February 7, 1977, an entity called Ramtha, The Enlightened One, appeared to her and her husband in the kitchen of her Tacoma, Washington trailer. Knight says that since then, she has been able to channel Ramtha by going through a process of leaving her body, allowing Ramtha to teach through her.

Jeez. The “trailer” makes it even more credable.

The four cornerstones of Ramtha’s philosophy are:

    1. The statement ‘You are God’
    2. The directive to make known the unknown
    3. The concept that consciousness and energy create the nature of reality
    4. The challenge to conquer yourself

    So, Ramtha is Lazarus Long?

What a bunch of string-tied twaddle, the only real things they have are the full-auto things.

Full-auto things are good things to have. I went on a bicycle trip through Eastern Oregon in the mid-80s and we stopped in Rajneesh shortly after the Rajneeshees changed the name of the town from Antelope. It was weird We saw one of his Rolls-Royces.

In the abstract it’s a pretty cool way to set yourself up for WTSHTF — get a bunch of followers to gift you all their money, then use it (and them) to build a well-armed, self-sufficient town, with all the infrastructure, vehicles, weapons, and agricultural resources you’d need. Plus lots and lots of free love.

“Osho” was a very smart guy who built a temporary empire out of the clueless Western expatriates who threw money and sex at him in India. No wonder he was always smiling!

Petey — well, he is immortal, so who’s to say?
