The Soundboard: I got nothin’

So I’ve not been able to unstick myself from talk radio of all types for the past week and haven’t really found anything that I NEED to post (which is usually how this works).

So here are a couple of random selections from some of the bumper music I’ve heard throughout the week.

Because everyone needs some Edgar Winter

Rick Derringer – Rock and Roll Hoochie-Koo

This track was released 17 days after I was born. It may be that reason, or how they mixed the bass up top, but this has always been one of my all time favorite songs. I don’t know why, what with all the crap that today’s bands make covers out of, this one doesn’t get covered more.

The Hollies – Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress

And going back a bit farther

The Temptations – Get Ready (Live 1966)

Enjoy!

Thanks for the Temptations clip, it’s always a joy to hear/see them in an original recording.
