The 3rd Annual Gun Blogger Rendezvous in Reno, NV is less than 30 days away.
Both David and I will be there, as will a whole host of other folks. You should do what you can to get yourself there. Even you lurkers.
But I have a question for those who have previously attended the GBR:
Yesterday, Uncle linked to this rather neat-o website where you can click on you state and print out a card listing which states have CCW reciprocity with your CCW issuing state.
Nevada does not honor a Washington CCW. In fact, I think the only state with less reciprocity is California.
So what do us gunnies do there with our carry pieces? Is there reasonable open carry?
Halp!
Get a UT permit online, they are honored in NV, I hear. You don’t have to be a UT citizen to get one.
*stabs*
The first year I might be able to go, and the ironic thing is that I will only actually be able to if I am still unemployed. Bleh. I guess I find out today on that front, so who knows?
Oh, and do not get me started on WA’s reciprocity… if I were to visit my parents up there, it is either open carry (which I cannot yet bring myself to do, especially since it would be another $100-$200 for another holster) or nothing at all.
Last year nobody open-carried, I don’t think that’s a go.
Heh. Guess you all get to be disarmed Californians for a few days! (snicker)
The site listed doesn’t indicate that a Utah permit will be honored in Nevada.
OpenCarry.org lists Nevada as a Gold Star open carry state. Read the Nevada statutes and go for it.
