Must be something in the water up there.
See if you can spot where this guy’s logic jumps the tracks.
Gun ban needed, not school metal detectors
Ontario Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty said Wednesday that he does not want to see the provinces’ schools resort to installing metal detectors and having uniformed security officers patrol the halls in the wake of Tuesday’s fatal stabbing at a Toronto high school.
Such a move, he said, would amount to the Americanization of schools in Ontario.
“I see that as an absolute last resort,†Mr. McGuinty told reporters during an election campaign stop.
Instead, he said, Ontario needs to distinguish itself from the United States by imposing an outright ban on hand guns.
“Let’s ban handguns in Ontario,†he said. “Let’s ban handguns across the country. Let’s declare war against handguns.â€
A 16-year-old Scarborough youth was stabbed to death on Tuesday on a walkway leading from Winston Churchill Collegiate Institute.
I really can’t say much after that. I’m just about to go cross-eyed trying to figure out how his mind works.
Ooops, I’ve fallen out of my chair.

Oh yeah… this guys gun grabbing noise goes way back, right in hand with my former mayor Miller.
An election is coming, and his government is waiting to topple… I’ll throw my vote against the guy.
What slays me is that it’s not a question of banning guns OR putting metal detectors and security guards in the school (Unarmed security guards, good thinking…politically expedient targets more like) it’s a question of banning guns AND putting metal detectors and security guards into the schools when the gun violence doesn’t magically disappear.
But then we all knew that, didn’t we?
But …….. the guy was STABBED with (maybe I’m going out on a limb here) a long, probably pointy thing, maybe even a knife – but no matter, a gun ban’s gonna solve all our pesky little problems.
His Mum outa slap him up side the head for making her look like she raised an idiot!
But a knife IS a handgun, isn’t it? They’re both evil and metal-like, lets ban’em!
Maybe I’m going out on a limb here, perhaps the
knife was a bayonet on the end of a gun? That’s
the only way I can make the connection.
