That one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: You get what you deserve, for good or for ill.
Yeah, I know Holder isn’t in there. If I had drawn it, he would be.

Yeah, I know Holder isn’t in there. If I had drawn it, he would be.
It wasn’t 50 years of Democratic Party rule that ruined Detroit.
It was the Governor and the state legislature not “sharing the wealth” of state sales tax.
Michigan communities have missed out on some $6.2 billion in statutory revenue sharing payments over the past decade as lawmakers and governors diverted funds to fill holes in the state budget, according to a new report from the Michigan Municipal League highlighting losses by community.
Detroit, the state’s largest city, lost out on $732 million in revenue sharing between 2003 and 2013, according to the report. Twenty two other cities — from Grand Rapids to Wyandotte — saw the state divert at least $10 million in sales tax revenue that local leaders believe they should have been entitled to.
That’s money that would have helped local governments provide essential services — including police and fire, water systems, road maintenance, parks, libraries — and may have allowed some of them to avoid financial emergencies requiring state intervention.
Yeah, sure it would have. Because it’s not like these municipalities never saw a dollar they couldn’t figure out how to waste.
For “had no credibility anyway.”
Melowese Richardson was put in jail for voting twice in 2012 and three times for her sister who is in a coma got out of jail last week.
Guess who is parading her around a “voting rights” rally?
A Hamilton County poll worker who has been held up nationally as an example of voter fraud took the stage at a local voting rights rally – outraging Republicans and dismaying even top local Democrats.
The Rev. Al Sharpton, keynote speaker at Thursday’s rally to kick-off the campaign for an Ohio Voters’ Bill of Rights Ohio Constitutional amendment, even hugged Melowese Richardson.
Richardson, a Democrat, was convicted of voter fraud after using her position as poll worker to vote more than once in the 2012 presidential election. She got a five year prison term, but was released earlier this month after local Democratic activists pressed for a fairer term.
A judge sentenced her to probation instead.
In related news, a reporter for television station WBBH in Fort Meyers, FL dug up over 100 ineligible voters just by comparing voting records and jury excusal forms. Yet, for some reason, the DoJ is suing the state of Florida to stop them from purging the dead, the felonious and the non-citizens from the voting rolls.
Even the Democrats are admitting the this will be a tough election for them to come out on the good side of. They’re just trying to keep it from being a complete blowout.
None of the standard fare appealed this week, so here is a mishmash of stuff I found somewhat recently.
Have a nice day.
What do you get when you put me in a fully equipped welding fabrication shop and give me something like this pile of scrap?
Besides my wife looking at me sideways for a few days wondering what the hell I’m up to putting this crap in the back yard, you get this
The chain around the edge and the center piece are from a transfer case. The center piece is actually a planetary gear, and because the chain is welded to the edge and the rest of the parts are welded to the chain and not the part, the top spins.
Sadly, this one has to go to the school to auction off for their scholarship foundation. But I’ll be making more to “supplement” my student-level income.
Despite my very liberal tendencies, the details in this article are exactly why I tend to butt heads with liberals by and large. Â I understand the desire to help those less fortunate, and to prevent innocent kids from falling into the cycle of poverty. Â I get that, I really do.
But, as us libertarian types tend to say, you have to help people with the hand up, not the hand out.
The author of the piece laments that in Watts (of LA), it is easier to get assistance if you are young, female, & pregnant than it is to get help if you are young, female, and wanting to go to college.
I can’t imagine the incentives that brings into play. Â Actually, yes I can.
The contract is coming up on the internet.
Not MY contract. The US contract for control of the internet.
U.S. officials announced plans Friday to relinquish federal government control over the administration of the Internet, a move that pleased international critics but alarmed some business leaders and others who rely on the smooth functioning of the Web.
Pressure to let go of the final vestiges of U.S. authority over the system of Web addresses and domain names that organize the Internet has been building for more than a decade and was supercharged by the backlash last year to revelations about National Security Agency surveillance.
The change would end the long-running contract between the Commerce Department and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a California-based nonprofit group. That contract is set to expire next year but could be extended if the transition plan is not complete.
The “transition plan” is about as complete as the Obamacare website was on November 1st, 2013. But that won’t likely stop the Executive Branch next year from tossing it to whomever says they’re ready to handle the process.
The Republicans and FOXNews have figured this out and are reporting it. The left are pooh-poohing them for doing so, citing the 1998 ICANN contract stating the 2015 cut-off.
However, what the left fails to notice about the 1998 contract is that ICANN was supposed to transition to a private body. But that is not what the Obama Administration has in mind. They are thinking something “public-private” like a UN-style body, where the public body gets the control and is paid for with private funds (aka: A Tax).
I don’t pay an internet tax now and I won’t pay one in the future. I love y’all, but I’ll go bye-bye before paying for the privilege.
If you like your internet, you won’t be able to keep it unless we get a Congress this Fall that is either willing to tell Obama “Oh hell naw!” or is afraid to tell Obama “Whatever you want dear.”
You know how to make that happen.
Fire Obama.
Have a sale!
Ilya Somin has an excellent article on the topic of government mismanagement of property here.
Crimea passes their referendum to join with Russia.
Imagine that! Their choices were to join Russia now or join Russia in the future. I’m surprised the referendum didn’t get 100% of the vote. They only got 123% of the vote in some places.
But wait a minute, Ukraine’s interim government says they will not remove their military personnel from Crimea and is instead preparing to fight. Good for them.
However, I think they might be misreading their calendars. We’re not supposed to hold joint exercises with them until July. Australians have “Christmas in July” celebrations because that is when they get their snowfall. But I don’t know of any country that celebrates it in March.
Lastly, I can’t find any record saying this didn’t happen.
An update to the Boothill Express/Hellbound Express machines I posted here a couple weeks back:
I made mention of a motorcycle creation that Mike, the builder of the Hellbound Express had made a couple years back. Now, I finally have info and pics.
Meet Twisted Evil
The bike is about 10 feet long and is powered by a rotary mill out of an RX7 which produces about 175hp.
It has a “pair” of tires at each end, like this
That’s Mike, in his garage. (Courtesy of the Auburn Reporter)
He says it hauls ass (Duh!) and sounds like a pissed off chainsaw on steroids. It’s not the easiest bike to ride.
Or the safest
But it will definitely get you some looks.
