Interesting Times

Crimea passes their referendum to join with Russia.

Imagine that! Their choices were to join Russia now or join Russia in the future. I’m surprised the referendum didn’t get 100% of the vote. They only got 123% of the vote in some places.

But wait a minute, Ukraine’s interim government says they will not remove their military personnel from Crimea and is instead preparing to fight. Good for them.

However, I think they might be misreading their calendars. We’re not supposed to hold joint exercises with them until July. Australians have “Christmas in July” celebrations because that is when they get their snowfall. But I don’t know of any country that celebrates it in March.

Lastly, I can’t find any record saying this didn’t happen.
