Ain’t it nice how they frame it?

Tonight during the YouTube Republican Dog & Pony Show, you may see a video recorded by Pat and Lynn Mulder.

Their son, Ryan Skipper, was murdered by men who had absolutely not a care in the world for the life of other human beings. Ryan Skipper was a homosexual and his parents have become brainwashed or have brainwashed themselves into believing that the only reason Ryan was murdered was because he was gay.

They have also been brainwashed or have brainwashed themselves into believing that “Hate Crime” legislation will stop crime.

They hope their video is shown to the Republican candidates so that they may ask “how will they work to promote the value of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender families.”

The right answer is to say that members of the GLBT “community” will be treated like every other citizen in the United States and given the same rights as people not in the GLBT “community”. No special privileges and no special requirements. They will not be singled out for any compensation or punishment. Equal as equal can be.

Of course, this will not satisfy them as they have become fully engulfed in the pro-special rights for GLBT “community”, demanding special prosecutions for criminal acts in which members of their preferred “community” are victims, special rights to register their sexuality at City Hall and special privileges in employment.

They want to be told that they’ll get all of this and gumdrop rainbows from the Republican Party, but they won’t (OK maybe from Giuliani and Romney) and they know they won’t. They simply want to ask a question that is as loaded as possible so that they can wander around and piss and moan about it when they don’t get the answer they like.

Yet another special privilege of the GLBT “community”.

Confused?

Why yes, they are.

The leftosphere had a heyday with this vid last week

With FireDogLake and HorsesAss being just a couple of the sites that posted it.

Little do they know, they are being mocked. Trust me on this. I work with people nearly as zealous for Mother Gaia as The Green Team is up to 01:40 into the video.

Must not have been the real deal

A show trial!?!

From anti-US leftists!?!

How dare I make such an assertion!

But that is what it was.

French Prosecutors throw out Rumsfeld torture case

The Paris prosecutors’ office has dismissed a suit against Donald Rumsfeld accusing the former U.S. defense secretary of torture, human rights groups who brought the case said on Friday.

The plaintiffs, who included the French-based International Federation of Human Rights Leagues (FIDH) and the U.S. Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), said Rumsfeld had authorized interrogation techniques that led to rights abuses.

And I remember quite clearly when General Dwight D. Eisenhower was brought up on charges, found guilty and hanged at Nuremburg for his officers and enlisted men roadside executions of captured Nazi SS personnel.

Oh, wait.

A Couple of Points

I never saw expressed last week when folks were writing about the woman who had an abortion so that she would not “increase her carbon footprint”.

Just to get it off the table: I don’t care about the abortion itself. Not a whit. She could have twenty of them a week and I wouldn’t give two squirts about it. Fewer kids means more space for me and quieter public places. My attitude extends about this far

Silence is Golden. Duct Tape is Silver.

Besides, most people of child bearing age today wouldn’t have an idea what to do with a child if one of the things fell out from between their legs. Yes ladies, I meant that as a joke. And for the guys: How great for you, your pecker works.

OK, now, I noticed that only one person on the left wrote about this story, and that was Blue Texan (whose only reason for existence seems to be to lamely mock PJM and InstaReynolds) and he only wrote one line of original thought on the matter.

Why is it that none of the folks on the left will call women like the one in the story idiots? They know the Pro-Lifers get worked into a tizzy over these stories and that it gives them reason to proselytize and make converts out of fence sitters. Yet not a single one of them, male or female, says that this is a stupid idea. Hell, they can’t even get off their asses to point out that this will lead to fewer left-wing voters and leave the world to those who don’t follow their ideology.

The general public, myself included, are only left to believe that it is, like the Muslims who will not renounce those believers in the Prophet Muhammad who scream for the murder of innocents, that they approve of it. If they can’t see why that is “A Bad Thing” then they deserve what bad exposure they get.

On that same line of thought, while they stand by and stare blankly at this woman, I get called a fascist or a racist or a classist or a sexist or a bastard (or most likely a combination of those) when I suggest that women who cannot afford to have kids shouldn’t, either through abortion or via birth control (another topic that sets off the Lifers) or whatever.

So they are, in effect, stating that it is OK to suggest killing a child/fetus/zygote to stop Global Warming, but to do so in order to stop the birth of another state dependent welfare recipient is an abomination.

And then they wonder why they are called a Death Cult.

The last time

The leftosphere “Supported the Troops” soldiers at Walter Reed got hate mail.

Simon at Classical Values saw the kids at the dKos Animal Farm and Petting Zoo getting a plan together.

Today, I’m calling all kossacks with an invitation to show the wingers how to walk the walk by supporting the troops with some good old fashioned care packages. It’s a great way to support those men and women who will not be home for the holidays and sending care packages to the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan is easier than most folks realize. So, here’s some specific information on where to find soldiers to support, what to send, and the ins and outs of mailing care packages overseas. I promise, it’s easier than you think and you’ll feel wonderful walking away from that post office counter.

October 7th, 2001 – The US invades Afghanistan

March 20th, 2003 – The US invades Iraq

What is today’s date again?

While I believe that every citizen should send at least one every year (especially this time of year) I think that if the folks on the left, if they haven’t figured out Care Packages already, they’re not going to bother.

They believe that taking money away from the men and women in the field is more supportive than sending hot sauce, CDs and batteries.

So double up on your giving if you can. I know I am.

Get at them chilluns

Seattle Mayor, Greg Nickels, he of the 2005 US Mayors Climate Protection Agreement, has decided to stick it to the parents of Seattle my blackmailing them with their children.

Operation: Save Santa

“Some say that if we don’t do something to cut greenhouse gas emissions soon, the North Pole might be ice-free in summer as early as 2030. That’s why we’re launching ‘Operation Save Santa,’” Nickels wrote in his letter.

Nickels asked Santa to recognize that Seattleites should be on his “nice” list for all of their efforts to conserve energy. They helped make Seattle the first city in the nation to cut greenhouse gas emissions to 8 percent below 1990 levels. And they continue to make a difference through Seattle Climate Action Now, a grassroots campaign to help people reduce climate pollution at home, at work and when making transportation choices.

I’ll start worrying when those who say they worry start acting like they’re worried.

Example: UN Climate Change Summit in……Bali

Tempo Interaktif reports that Angkasa Pura – the management of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport are concerned that the large number of additional private charter flights expected in Bali during the UN Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) December 3-15, 2007, will exceed the carrying capacity of apron areas. To meet the added demand for aircraft storage officials are allocating “parking space” at other airports in Indonesia.

The operational manager for Bali’s Airport, Azjar Effendi, says his 3 parking areas can only accommodate 15 planes, which means that some of the jets used by VIP delegations will only be allowed to disembark and embark their planes in Bali with parking provided at airports in Surabaya, Lombok, Jakarta and Makassar.

You’d think they could “Plane-Pool” or something? Or maybe just have the conference in their already designated location at Turtle Bay.
If their human hating, socialist theories are correct, they’ll only have to wait a few more years and Turtle Bay will be just like Bali.

Philippines, Separatist rebels reach deal on Muslim homeland

The Philippines government and separatist rebels have struck a deal on creating a Muslim homeland in the country’s south which is expected to lead to a peace accord next year, officials said Thursday.

The agreement on the extent of territory to be handed over had been a major stumbling block in the peace talks that opened when a ceasefire was forged with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in 2001.

When terrorists are bargaining with you at the point of their gun, the only recourse is not to give them what they want, for they will only want more later, it is to return the favor.

Apparently, the Philippine government did not learn these very simple table manners.

Family Addition

We’ve got us a Korean in the family now.

The Wife decided upon a 2005 Sante Fe, from Hyundai. And I can’t say that I’m at all disappointed.

PB240002.JPG

We wandered on in and took a look around, found the finance guy (to find out how much Wifey was worth to the salesman) and it was nearly lurve at first sight on this lease return.

Let’s see: 2.7L V6 w/33K Miles (and nearly half the factory warranty left), 10 speaker stereo, ABS, Traction Control, etc. Basically, every option except leather and a sunroof (lack of the latter is a regret of The Wife’s).

My only real regret was that she told me to stop. I’d gotten a grand taken off the price due to a scratch and a bump and was in negotiations (not yet Jedi style “aggressive Negotiations”) for the new set of tires when I was signaled to stop. Still got the full tank of gas though. $14999 out the door.

Edmonds likes them. So do the Motor Trend guys. Car and Driver thought it was only OK, but even after the Cherokee placed tops in the snow, those bozos put it next to last in the class, so screw them.

I really like it’s best in class safety rating, with more airbags than grandmas got cookies and that a 6ft 5in, 275lb human can get in and out of it and be comfortable in any seating spot. The styling is a bit much for me, but it actually works in making the vehicle easier to drive since you can effortlessly look over all the angles.

The Wife thinks it looks like a funky station wagon with a suspension lift. And since its her opinion that counts here, I’ll agree.

Wail of the Banshee

Jon Spencer was the first to be right, though Greg was the first with the link.

Yesterday’s International Car of Mystery was the Pontiac Banshee XP-833 coupe concept from 1964. Though that design was from John DeLorean, I was really hoping that someone would bring up Zora Arkus-Duntov so that we could talk about the XP-882.

Oh well. I suppose not everyone is as enthused about mid-engined Corvettes as I am.

I like to think if GM had gone with the XP-882 that Ford would have actually gotten behind the Pantera instead of just supplying parts.
