Feds say prostitution rampant at strip clubs

In a move aimed at dismantling the strip-club empire of Frank Colacurcio Sr., federal prosecutors on Monday seized documents and other evidence in a series of raids and revealed that a three-year undercover investigation has turned up “rampant” prostitution and evidence of money laundering and racketeering.

Shh, don’t anyone one tell them about the massage parlors.

Seriously, are they just figuring this out? My brother may have worked in clubs such as these for a few years, but I knew about this issue before he even started that.

Watermelons in Australia

The info found on the captured FARC laptop keeps revealing more new information.

A Chilean-born candidate for the Australian Greens, Vlaudin Vega, has admitted to supporting a Colombian guerilla group listed as a terrorist organisation.

Computer files captured from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) acknowledge the “special support” in Australia of “Vlaudin”.

Mr Vega, a campaigner for a united Latin America who was a Greens candidate in last year’s NSW and federal elections, said if his unusual first name indeed were mentioned in the “alleged (FARC computer) document”, then it would be him.

“FARC in my opinion is a peasant organisation … seeking to give the Colombian people some opportunity to live in a dignified manner and that’s why I support FARC,” Mr Vega said.
…

Asked about FARC and its cocaine trade, Mr Vega said: “The revolutionary process needs money. I’m not telling you that the FARC are saints.”

The moral relativism just seeps in sickly black ooze out of this guy.

The Washington State GOP grows a pair

Well, almost

The state Republican Party adopted a platform Saturday that includes a provision aimed at opposing automatic citizenship for babies born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants.

The state party approved a similar platform plank at its 2006 convention that proved controversial. The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution recognizes citizenship for all persons born in the United States.

“Immigration is an issue that a lot of our party activists feel strongly about,” state Republican Party Chairman Luke Esser said. “And it’s certainly a very defensible position. It’s not at all something that’s based on race concerns. It’s a matter of what is citizenship going to be based on.”

They’re sort of wishy-washing on the idea, stating that it should be simply the SCOTUS reinterpreting the law and not actually calling for an actual amendment to the 14th Amendment.

I guess those testes haven’t actually dropped yet.

But former Republican and current Libertarian candidate for President, Bob Barr, popped “the boys” out of his drawers and took a walk down Main Street by telling the White Pride pukes to stuff their money where the sun don’t shine.

The Barr campaign is not going to be a vehicle for every fringe and hate group to promote itself. We do not want and will not accept the support of haters. Anyone with love in their heart for our country and for every resident of our country regardless of race, religion, nationality or sexual orientation is welcome with open arms.

Tell the haters I said don’t let the door hit you on the backside on your way out!

I still won’t toss my vote away to him. He’s about as Libertarian as Huckabee.

An Interesting Scenario

You’re downtown with the wife (taking full advantage of your CCW, of course) when you find that there is an eco-socialist protest going on that you didn’t hear about beforehand. You’d like to leave and avoid the loons, but the wife insists that this “shopping” must be done, so you continue on with your day out.

Though you try to stay out of the main contingent of freaks, they’re all over the place and your sinuses are hit with wave after wave of patchouli funk. Not too long into your adventure, one of the freaks wanders up to you carrying a squirt bottle and he proceeds to spray you both.

Now, the protest is blatantly “anti-pesticide” and if you had the time to ask the guy, he’d tell you that the contents of the bottle are poison.

A fist to the face is a given, but what, if you were told that the bottle contained poison, more would you do?

Story here.

You’ll Laugh

And then you’ll cry. But only because you can’t stop laughing.

I tried to read this article about the newest boutique network to hit cable

Planet Green TV!!!1!one!

The network execs say that it won’t be preachy, self-righteous or make you ride the guilt train to hell.

And so the AP reporter repeated these claims, and after hearing about their format, I thought they might be actually telling a little bit of truth.

Until, when the reporter was writing about some of the new shows being “star-oriented” and typed up today’s quote

Fortunately for Planet Green, no place is greener than Hollywood.

David Bauder – AP television writer

The “big show” on the network will feature Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and rapper Ludacris trying to out green one another. While that may be funny, the rest of their shows look to be a bunch of momentarily green, self-absorbed types telling folks how they should live.

Frankly, I can turn on any channel and see that crap.

Doubly frankly, if it wasn’t for the wife, I probably wouldn’t have cable.

Is Obama a cheese-eating surrender monkey?

Nope. In fact, to call him one would be an insult to the cheese-eating surrender monkeys.

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said on Sunday that the security situation in Iraq was improving and reaffirmed France’s willingness to help rebuild the war-ravaged country.

“I have the feeling that things are better. Statistics show a drop in security incidents,” Kouchner told AFP after a working lunch with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari on the last day of his two-day visit to Iraq.

There is “an improvement in the situation in Iraq,” he said.

I would like to know what has instilled in him the lack of confidence in our armed forces that he exudes.

Though I doubt that even Obama’s government probably would have so damn many regulations

They turn out in their hundreds in Stetsons and boots as hits such as the Crazy Foot Mambo and the Cowboy Strut echo around their village halls.

They are drawn by a love of American culture – although definitely not American politics – and a passion for line dancing, which enables them to swing but avoid all human contact.

Now country and western has become so big in France that the country’s bureaucrats have decided to bring the craze under state control.

The French administration has moved to create an official country dancing diploma as part of a drive to regulate the fad. Authorized instructors who have been on publicly funded training courses will be put in charge of line dancing lessons and balls.

And these people have nuclear reactors, folks. I’m just saying that if people who apparently need their line dancing regulated can run numerous nuke plants, we can too.

Stop This Now

Last week, I was driving to work and listening in on the run-up to the Democrat’s cluster o’fuck this last weekend. A commercial break starts and on comes an advert for a group called “Medicare for All”. The ad was asking for donations so that they can expand their advertising base, as well as to grease palms for votes.

As you’ve probably guessed by their name, they seek to expand and “improve” Medicare to every person living in the United States (which means not just citizens) by tossing everyone into the already overweight Medicare Advantage bus and driving them straight off the cliff.

Here is their website

The bills we’re going to have to watch for are:

H.R. 676 – The United States National Health Insurance Act, and

S. 334 – The Healthy Americans Act

Not frightening enough for you? Here is the funding statement for HR 676, where they plan on getting the cash to pay for all this

Sources of Revenue (2005)

1. Government: $852.5 billion

2. Keep existing federal, state and local revenues that currently pay for Medicare (employer and employee payroll taxes of 1.45% each or $194 billion) and other federal and state programs.

4. Employers and Employees: $441.6 billion

5. Implement a modest payroll tax of 3.3% on all public and private employers and employees, while eliminating employer premiums for private health plans. This is in addition to the 1.45% payroll tax that people are already paying. So the total payroll tax is 4.75% on the employer, and 4.75% on the employee.

6. 5% Health tax on the richest 5% of Americans; 10% tax on richest 1%: $221.8 billion

7. Tax on stock and bond transactions: $144.6 billion. Anyone who buys or sells a stock will pay a transaction tax equal to one quarter of one percent of the purchase price. For example, a $100 stock purchase will be taxed a total of 50 cents.

8. Close corporate tax shelter loopholes: $105.2 billion

9. Repeal the Bush tax cut of 2001 and invest the Bush ‘economic stimulus plan’ of 2003 into health care: $206 billion

10. Household: $65.9 billion

Since all medically necessary services including prescription drugs will be covered, the only expenses left for individuals will be over-the-counter drugs such as aspirin, elective cosmetic surgery, etc. This represents an 80% reduction in current out-of-pocket expenses.

Existing non-patient revenues: $44.5 billion – Existing funds raised from philanthropic donations from individuals and foundations, and from hospital gift shops will continue to contribute a small percentage of the total budget

Total budget: $1.861 trillion

The pro-take people’s money to pay for unnecessary government programs folks wet themselves when they read that list. You should feel lucky that you haven’t as well.

We can thank Rep. John Conyers for this polished turd and everyone on this list in the House for enabling his delusion and for being too stupid to see that this would kill even more people than if government closed every hospital and jailed every medical professional.

You can go to the box on top of the left hand sidebar of this page to find your elected representatives (though you should know them already).

Stop this now.

The truly sick part of this is that the program will be called the “Healthy Americans Private Insurance” plan.

A program called “HAPI” that will kill people.

RNS Quote of the Day: 06/02/08

The people mentioned in the above “Healthcare for All” post are calling their legislation a health care “Revolution”.

To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary… These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution! And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.

Che Guevara

I see what they mean now.

Must be that “New Math”

It seems that the AP gets to turn a plus into a minus by simply finding a source whose opinion they enjoy

The economy will perform a neat trick this year, experts predict: fall into recession without contracting. That hasn’t happened since the government began tracking quarterly growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in 1947.

“Remarkably, the economy has been able, barely, to keep its head above water despite all the negative shocks,” says Josh Feinman, DB Advisors’ chief economist.

While many believe a recession indicates a contraction in GDP, the National Bureau of Economic Research, known as the arbiter of recessions, merely looks for “a significant decline in economic activity” lasting more than a few months. It may appear in GDP, income or other measures.

Move goalposts much?

A recession has historically been called after two quarters of negative growth. Now, apparently, all it takes is a couple months of sagging positive numbers. Let us hope we never get too successful in this country, otherwise we’ll be just digging ourselves a big hole.

I guess that must be the European model

The Association of European Chambers of Commerce in Brussels warned that the transatlantic gap had widened yet further in the past five years by all key measures, despite the pledge by EU leaders at the 2000 Lisbon summit to transform Europe into the world’s “most dynamic knowledge-based economy” by the end of the decade.

The EU-wide umbrella group, known as Eurochambres said the EU’s overall employment rate was still stuck at levels attained by the United States in 1978, chiefly due to an incentive structure that discourages women from working and prompts early retirement by those in their fifties.

It found that the European Union’s research and development levels were achieved by America as long ago as 1979, while the lag time on per capita income is 18 years.

“It will take the EU until 2072 to reach US levels of income per capita, and then only if the EU income growth exceeds that of the US by 0.5pc,” the study said.

The EU economy, in very reasonable standards, is anywhere from 30 to 64 years behind that of the US.

Yet ours is called weak and the media’s denial of manipulation in the monetary markets is so loud that you’d think some of them were agencies of foreign governments or something.

Oh wait.

Losing his religion

According to his press people, the Obamessiah has left the Chicago Trinity United Church (aka: the only church loved by the left).

Of course, those worshipping at the feet of the Obamessiah know this wasn’t a political maneuver

Apparently, Obama’s sense of connectedness to his church community — which seemed likely to be his main reasons for staying with Trinity throughout the entire phony Jeremiah Wright brouhaha — were overwhelmed by the sense of betrayal that Obama seemed to feel in the wake of Wright’s strangely self-serving performance in front of the National Press Club.

I doubt that this was done much for political reasons — after all, we saw that only a limited bloc of voters were much influenced at all by the Big Farking Deal the media made out of Wright. The way it happened suggests this is largely a personal thing for the Obamas, and I’m not sure anyone can blame them.

But there is plenty of blame to go around, particularly within the media for blowing this affair up so wildly out of proportion to its actual meaningfulness in the first goddamned place. It’s doubtful that this rupture would have occurred without it, and it’s now just another vivid example of the poisonous influence of media sharks in our personal lives.

Let us count the contradictions:

Obama loved his church so much that he gave 22 years of his life to it, but it only started to go bad when His Hope-fully-ness left Chicago for DC.

Even though the website where the above quote was posted liked to brag about the number of former-Bush voting churchgoers who were now voting for Obama, the bloc was “limited”.

Which leads them to believe that this wasn’t done for political reasons, but because the Obama Klan were finally moved so much by this “surprising” hatred, even though they were half a nation away, they felt they could not withstand them any longer and finally left the church.

And either way, it was all the media’s fault for letting small town America know what two of the closest people in the Obammessiah’s life, his minister for decades and a priest whom he so loved that he arranged for a quarter of a million of your tax dollars to be earmarked for the guy’s parish, truly believed, but “Mr. Golden Judgment Ability” never saw until he left to be the junior Senator from Illinois.

The left wanted Middle America to see what goes on inside a black church, so that they could finally “understand”.

Well lefties, you held up an example for Middle America to see and they didn’t like it. Now your Chosen Comrade is taking on water and you still point your fingers in the wrong direction.
