FOX News’ morning show, FOX & Friends, hosts a segment teaching kids that they are likely capable of defending themselves from an active shooter. Especially if they can mob rush the shooter. And that if they get trapped, feel capable, and get the opportunity, there are some techniques they can learn.

The December 8 broadcast of Fox & Friends featured two krav maga instructors and three children who demonstrated martial arts techniques that could be used to disarm an active shooter.

Co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck introduced the segment saying, “In an active shooter situation five seconds can mean the difference between life and death. But there are some things that you can do, and your children can do, to make a difference” before asking the instructor to “display for us and exemplify what would happen in an armed shooter situation.” The instructor then used a stapler as a prop while his co-instructor demonstrated how to disarm a gunman from behind.

Attempting to evacuate or hide only came up in passing when Hasselbeck asked the instructor what to do if you find yourself in an active shooter situation with alongside another potential victim. The instructor, said, “Once we’re hiding, let’s say we couldn’t run away, and we hide and then we’ve realized that we might be discovered, we have to basically communicate with each other and say, ‘Listen, this is what is going to happen, if I grab the gun, you guys are going to tackle the person.'” The comment didn’t clearly explain that these steps should be taken first — whether if you are alone or with someone else — and the segment then moved on to another demonstration of disarming a gunman.

And because treating children like children is easy, keeping adults in a child-like mindset of waiting for adult (read: government) help sounds like a good idea to them.

So when the Sheriff of Brevard County, FL says that citizens should take it upon themselves to be trained and armed, the leftists lose their shit and take a hard left onto Conspiratorial Avenue.

The motives for today’s appearance on Fox and Friends with Brian Kilmeade is to simply sell MORE GUNS and arm more citizens with deadly capabilities, increasing the number of casualties per every MASS SHOOTING. Sheriff Ivey is simply fear-mongering, appealing to the basest emotions of the human id. His argument is that if law enforcement took four minutes to arrive on the scene at the San Bernardino shooting, you’d better be ready to take on these well-armed people yourself, Ivey. The policies and laws this man has endorsed has facilitated the existence of weapons that can kill many in a very short amount of time, so this is the inevitable conclusion of his ammosexual policies

Sheriff Ivey is as irresponsible and as crooked as they come. He’s working together with the NRA’s political slaves, the GOP, to enact and enforce laws that will only benefit the merchants of death. Not one proposed law has helped a single citizen remain any safer; actually it’s quite the contrary. Rational people can see that this reckless, profit-driven behavior leads to nothing but more violence and death.

In their mind, there is absolutely never any reason to make even a meager attempt to be responsible for your own safely.
