Cheerful Cthulhu

I prefer my horror fiction dark and moody — it’s comforting and familiar that way, you see –  but I’ve always had to admit that chirpy, done-in-bright-daylight horror is actually a lot creepier and disturbing.

If a Cthulhu cult really existed, don’t you think their ritual “Ia! Ia! Cthulhu Ftaghn!” chanting would be a really catchy, happy tune? Just in time for summer; sing along with the chorus, below!

It’s fun to lose your forebrain to the Master while frolicking on the beach! Etc., etc.

    That’s just wrong. I LIKE it :-).

OK, I’d encountered Tom Smith’s “Cthulhu Lite FM” before, and the Cthuloid Toon Adventures Theme Song, and some cheerful song on YouTube that I can’t find now that includes an attempt to sing “Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn”, but… well…
Now you need to sit down and actually write the Cthulhian words to that tune!
