Modern Face of Progessivism

Sorry for missing yesterday. Mechanical difficulties.

Today’s item seems consistent with folks I had run across during my time at college.

Expand to the belief that Mommy and Daddy are government and you have completed the liberal moral cycle.

The kid is messed up, no doubt. But I can’t help but think, in part, that is the parent’s fault for instilling in him such a sense of entitlement and lack of understanding in how the world works.

Not seen the reference to “singlet privilege” before, though. Sounds like someones dreamed up excuse for continuing failure.

I think I stumbled upon this person’s page when trying to google a definition for “singletism”. The individual appears to be mentally ill. But I’ve seen a lot of leftist/liberals talk about their mental illness, and sometimes I wonder if it’s anything that’s really that bad. It seems like certain folks, who we may have once considered odd or lacked certain social skills, usually introverted folks, now cloak themselves with terms like the aforementioned ‘singletism’ or claim they have Aspergers or a mild case of autism. And there’s therapists who’ll treat them over a long period, but never really do anything to help the person with their underlying issues. IHMO.

I think the writer is referring to post-modern multiplicity. The notion that multiple identities are identifiable in a person’s psychological make-up. If you don’t want to look it up it’s basically a Marxist, political-psych idea that arose to explain identity in the digital age. It’s used by “post-structuralist” college professor types to explain everything from cognitive dissonance to the invasion of Iraq.

And society spins further toward the drain.

What was the source for this? Sure reads like satire to me.
