The Man Who Could Do No Wrong

In the eyes of the left, at least.

Hugo Chavez is ending education in Venezuela, in favor of indoctrination.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has threatened the country’s private schools with closure unless they adopt the government’s socialist ideology.

Mr Chavez said schools must introduce a new curriculum being introduced this year that he said would help develop values of cooperation and solidarity.

The same kind of cooperation and solidarity that the Khmer Rouge enjoyed: We are right, you are wrong. And for being wrong, you need to die.

I’ll be keeping an eye on the inmates at the dKos Animal Farm and Petting Zoo for their defenses of this move by Chavez. I’m guessing that it’ll be classified by them as a “Big Media Lie”, just like the revoking of broadcast licenses was earlier this year.

After all, what media is bigger than that organ of the right-wing noise machine, The BBC?

  1. Nicely put. I had the exact same thoughts, but your perspective on the KosKiddies really made my eyes widen.
