Went and looked at a Commanche pickup yesterday and found to my dismay that they too are a bit short of leg room.

I wish I had an extra grand/grand-and-a-half in this fight, I might just go straight for a CJ/YJ model. Nothing too fancy though.
Well as I have said before, I love my Cherokee to death. I would suggest 1998 or older, just because there is more stuff out there for the older ones, myself I was a year too late with a 1999. But any of the XJs kick ass in my opinion. Good luck and hope you end up geting something that works well for you, no matter what you get.
