Antique Bobbleheads

Just in case you thought the bobblehead fad was a recent invention, here’s proof to the contrary:

The ubiquitous shot glass gives some idea of the size. My grandmother gave these to me a few years ago, as I’m the political junkie of the family. According to her, they date from the late 1920s or early 1930s. They appear to be made of clay or a similar material.
I tried to take a picture of the heads bobbling to and fro, but wasn’t all that successful.
