Quest for the Perfect Shot

This is why I’m pretty sure I’ll never tire of shooting. Other hobbies have come and gone (oh AD&D, how I miss thee — but not enough to spend ten hours of my life taking a character through a dungeon again). Shooting, I think, is here to stay.

I haven’t had a Perfect Shot moment yet, but I felt pretty good with these shots at 600 yards earlier this year. We’ll see if I can duplicate that performance at Boomershoot….

  1. But…I’m sure you know how immensely frustrating it is to crack off what feels to you like the perfect shot…sights in perfect alignment, perfect sight picture (I’m talking irons here, no fancy glass), your breathing just right, trigger breaks clean…only to have them run the target back up and hear the spotter say “Miss, 8 inches outside at 3 o’clock.”

Wind is a f*cking bitch past 300 yards.
