The Dumbest Thing I’ve Read All Day: 10/27

By now I’m sure you’ve all read the outrageous comments made by Austrailian Umma, Sheik Taj Aldin al Hilali, where he compares a woman not in a bhurka attracting men in the same way a piece of “uncovered meat attracts stray cats” in order to justify the Muslim gang rapists active in that country.

The leftosphere, two days late, finally got ahold of the quote and actually said that he is a bad man for doing so. Good for them!

But Shakespeare’s Sister, in order to also blame Christians and their abominable morals, takes the extra step and compares what Hilali had to say to…wait for it…School Dress Codes!

Also wrapped within al Hilali’s “uncovered meat” analogy is the implication that women have a supernatural and inescapable power over men, wielded primarily through their bodies. It’s a concept we have seen advanced not just in defense of rape, but in everything from 15th-century witch hunts, when only witches would dare to have “wide hips, prominent breasts, conspicuous buttocks, long hair,” to a modern-day justification of dress codes, as girls’ bodies are charged with distracting boys from their work. We’re all Eve, tempting every Adam by holding out ripe, delicious, forbidden fruit—and when he cannot resist, it is the fault of the woman who led him astray.

Go ahead and click the link she supplies in her paragraph. It goes to the story that came out around the first of August of this year about a school district in Arlington, TX banning the wearing of super-lowcut, tit exposing, shirts by girls. She takes from the article a quote attributed to the school board president and about how distracting it is to the boys in the classroom.

I don’t know how long Shakespeare’s Sister has been out of high school, but when one boy gets distracted, all the other boys get distracted, and then the whole class gets distracted, and by then the learning stops.

While that may sound anti-female, you have to remember that there is only one reasons girls dress to show off their attributes in their teenage years: 1. To catch the attention of boys.

They are trying to get, almost demanding, attention. Are they asking to be raped, absolutely not. If it happens, is it their fault, absolutely not. But they want to catch someone’s eye. They don’t dress like a club ho for their friends and they certainly don’t do it for their parents. They do it to attract boys because, oddly enough, girls know what boys like, one of which is low cut shirts that show off their tits.

Sorry to have to tell you this “Sister” but it just so happens to be a fact of life. I’m sure you’d like to change that and instead of banning the shirts, ban the boys from gawking, but even if these girls were wearing the shit the girls were wearing when I was in junior high and high school (85-90), you’d be suspending half of the school.

No one, I repeat, no one dresses like that unintentionally or accidentally. You could be a modern day Helen Keller and still not dress like that unintentionally or accidentally. So yes, it is a case of an offering of the “forbidden fruit by Eve”, and being that their intended targets are teenaged boys, they will easily succeed. They are “Dressed to Impress”, and yet oddly enough, the way they are dressing will only impress their like aged males.

Some people go to school to learn, not just to use it as some sort of taxpayer sponsored social club. Since the point of schools is to teach those who wish to learn, their rights will be, and should be, more respected than those who just go to “hook up”.

But a leftist has to support the hoochie-mamafication of young girls. Where else are they going to get their next generation of emotionally crippled welfare recipients?

Cuba examining socialism for flaws

The Cuban government has launched a study with a surprising focus: What about socialism causes people to steal?

People steal in capitalist societies, but I don’t blame it on capitalism. I don’t live under a socialist/communist government, so I cannot really say which one creates more theft, though I highly suspect, what with government trying to give you everything, though never being able to give you enough of it, socialism would be the more crime-ridden of the two systems.

And there they have their answer: Government cannot supply all of a human’s needs, let alone their wants, so they will take what they need, and if they have time what they want.

Of course, I also suspect that the Cuban government will try and sluff off any lack results they get by saying that capitalist countries actually have more theft problems and that they don’t need to look into why people still steal under socialism.

Though not before beating and toturing as many thieves as they can lay their hands on.

Val Prieto has his own theory, as well as a question about the rhetorical integrity of the quesiton itself.

I’ve got my “Pocket Constitution” out

But I’m just not seeing what they speak of.

In yet another well-timed report from a leftist group that favors Democrats (but don’t call them biased, dammit!), the ACLU has just released their Congressional Scorecard.

Just as the Reporters Without Borders – Worldwide Press Freedom Index has ineptly skewed reasoning, this report offers little better.

They picked 22 “important civil liberties measures” and recorded hos the members of the House voted on them. Some are looking for a vote for and some are looking for a vote against. A green check mark on the scorecard means your rep voted the way the ACLU approved of and a red X signifies a vote the ACLU didn’t like.

While I can agree with some of the ACLU’s stances (flag desecration amendment, the McCain Feingold, etc,) there are some that I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what they have to do with real and actual civil liberties.

They must simply be working from a different list of civil liberties than I am. I mean, where does it state that being able to smoke medical marijuana is a civil right? And they opposed putting the US military on the southern border? I don’t know where non-US citizens have a section in the Constitution or the BoR stating that they are free to cross unhindered or run their drugs over it without fear of reprisal.

I know for a fact that hating someone’s skin color so much that you commit an act of crime against them is already punishable by law, but I didn’t know that the state had a civil right to be able to prosecute you under a highly prejuditial and special law.

It is not a civil right to be able to transport a minor, who is legally under the protection of their parents or guardians, anywhere without their permisson or knowledge, especially when you are taking them across state lines.

And at last check, it is still legal in this country, as determined by the SCOTUS, to sentence someone to death, meaning it is not a violation of someone’s civil right to do so. Yet the ACLU sentences any member of Congress who votes in favor of expanding the federal list of crimes punishable by death to a “bad mark” on their report card.

I can give them the right to an opinion, they should just let on to people reading their scorecard that the organization is playing with a wholly different deck of cards than the majority of Americans when expressing said an opinion.

No one has a civil right to not be lied to (it would put government out of business), but an organization that claims to stand for “Americans” should at least stand by the most widely accepted “American” opinion.

St. McCain

The folks on the right I know are creeped out by him and the folks on the left aresure that he’ll turn into Bush if/when he assumes the office. I have heard things from people on both side of the aisle and I can’t think of a single person who would vote for him.

But if you are a Democrat and he read your book which includes multple references to pedophilia, you’re golden!

I’m not even going to quote the disgusting lines I read over at Drudge. You can go here and read what Virginia Senate Cadidate, Jim Webb wrote back in 1999.

You can then go here and find leftosphere big-wig, Duncan Black (aka Atrios) , making excuses for Webb’s words by posting the quote John McCain gave to RandomHouse to print on the book jacket.

So this is what we know of today’s Democratic Party Members:

1. If you write dirty emails to of age men working as pages, your entire party needs to resign or be thrown out of office.

2. If you write books with segments dedicated to erotic stories where a character is having sex with children, you need to be elected to the Senate right now!

Because they care about the children!

The Soundboard: A Dedication

You’ll never guess who I got an email from last night.

Our good man in the ‘stan, Chad of The Dogtulosba Blog

DCP_0006.JPG

Actually, he’s currently known as 1LT Chad XO B/27 EN BN (C)(A)(RT).

He wrote me to say howdy and that while he was reading the Good Ship RNS, his 1Sgt was looking over his shoulder, said he knew of us and couldn’t believe, probably given our political leanings, that we were from Chad’s hometown of Seattle.

He’s partially right, the NW Blogstation is now in Tacoma, but we’re previously from Seattle.

I wrote him back and asked how life in a rocky place near the top of the world was going and if they needed anything, among other topics. I haven’t gotten a reply from him just yet, and while I might know how to get items they aren’t supposed to have into the zone, I’ll wait for a reply before heading off to the post office.

But I did want to give the guys something and figured that they might just be a little bit tired of the tunage they went over with in April. So let us begin with a dedication to the LT and all the guys who are stuck, quite literally, in the asscrack of Afghanistan.

First up, they’re Combat Engineers, who can build a house in one day and then blow it to hell the next, so we’re going to go big and bad with a big and bad song dams on rivers. From their best album ever, Dirt, we have Alice in Chains

Dam that River – Alice in Chains

Next, because the ‘stan is a dusty place with probably very little in the way of “hygenic maintenance facilities” , I’m sure a scruffy mug is not the most uncommon of sights there. So from their best album ever, Badmotorfinger, we have Soundgarden

Face Pollution – Soundgarden

(Anyone notice that they are both Seattle bands?)

And lastly, Chad and the rest of his accompanying gentlemen are Airborn qualified, so we need to get them something to try and match the ramp-life I’m sure they’ve been missing (snicker). Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters got a bunch of his favorite metal musicians together and made an album under the name Probot. One of those musicians was none other than Lemmy of Motorhead and this is the song they cranked out.

Shake Your Blood – Probot

Of course, I have no idea if they already have this stuff and are sick of it, or if the dumb little intros made them gag, but then, they do have an always open request line here at RNS.

Good day to you gentlemen and we’ll see you all when you come home. But until then, don’t be strangers.

The Dumbest Thing I’ve Read All Day: 10/26

You have got to listen to this radio ad from GOP candidate Bob Corker, and this is why: The loony left, starting, I believe at the TPM Cafe, where the sound file resides at, is charging that the drums in the background, the ones you can barely hear, are “Jungle Drums”!

Corker is white. His opponent, Dem candidate Harold Ford, Jr. is black.

I listened to the ad, twice, because I couldn’t quite hear them the first time, and if those are “Jungle Drums”, then I’m Tito Puente.

LGF has it right, they’re tympani drums, and if I had to guess what to compare them to, I’d have to say an intro (while the credits are rolling) to a late-80’s action flick like “Navy Seals” or something. Something real dramatic where a helecoptor is flying over the water at dusk/dawn kind of thing.

It just goes to show just how detached from both the black populace they claim to represent and to reality the Dems are.

Boo Freakin’ Hoo

All over the leftosphere there are hues and cries about this insipid report titled “The Worldwide Press Freedom Index” from the leftist media watchdog group “Reporters Without Borders” where they state that press freedom in America is rapidly declining.

We were apparently in 44th place last year, according to their methods, and started out only in 17th place in the first year of the report, 2002. This year, we’re in 53rd place, tied with Botswana, Croatia and Botswana.

They only cite four reasons as to why they have dropped the US down the list, but each of them will tell you exactly where their politics stand:

#1 – The Federal Courts, along with 17 states, do not recognize a reporters right to conceal their sources. When it comes down to the releasing of national security info, I would certainly hope not.

#2 – We are holding al-Jazeera camera guy Sami al-Haj at Gitmo. Al-Haj was arrested and detained by Pakistan while trying to cross from Pakistan to Afghanistan in December of 2001.

#3 – We are holding Bilal Hussein in a jail in Iraq. Bilal Hussein, in case you have forgotten, was captured along with two Iraq based terrorists, one of whom was a known leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq. When he was taken into custody, he had pictures of himself with the muderers of Salvatore Santoro.

#4 – An SFIndymedia-loving amatuer videographer named Josh Wolf is in prison because he won’t release the video he holds that will help convict the anti-G8 conference protesters who stomped and severely injured the police officers trying to keep the event peaceful.

Gee, I wonder why “Reporters Without Borders” would be in support of letting two known terrorist supporters, along with a guy who enjoyed the hell out video taping cops getting beaten down, back onto the streets and the release of national security secrets?

OK, I don’t really wonder about it that much.

The Rats Have Now Left the Ship

But do those abord know it has sunk?

Somehow, yes, I think they have.

State, City show no interest in taking over district

The fundamental flaws plaguing Seattle’s troubled school district go beyond money woes and controversial school closure proposals, many city and state leaders said Monday after the superintendent announced his resignation.

But neither the city nor state believes it’s their job to fix the district’s problems.

In Olympia, there isn’t “any interest whatsoever” in the state stepping in to resolve Seattle’s crisis, said Rep. Dave Quall, a Mount Vernon Democrat and Education Committee chairman. His Senate counterpart, Rosemary McAuliffe, D-Bothell, predicted any intervention would be only advisory.

At Seattle City Hall, some politicians blamed a host of district problems on the state, and some blamed the School Board. Many expressed grave concerns over the public’s apparent loss of faith in the district. But none endorsed a city takeover of the district.

For the non-locals, here is the quick run-down:

The Seattle School District has been a sinking ship for over a decade. With declining enrollment, most likely to do with the non-family-friendly atmosphere on the City’s face, and ever increasing teacher’s union demands (that include fewer days, fewer duties and more pay and more non-teaching staff), the school district has been short on cash for as long as anyone can remember.

We had an at least competent Superintendant for a while, keeping the ship barely afloat, but he died during his cancer treatment, and they haven’t been able to get anyone who can get the ship shape long enough to plug the leaks in the hull.

Manhas was doing pretty well until the whole idea of closing a few of the districts buildings and combining some of them together in order to save cash came around. The first list popped up and the parents went nuts. A number of the parents charged racism and others screamed favoritism, but the list’s reasoning was as sound as concrete. They went off  the building’s age, location, attendance and the school’s score in the standardized tests to figure out who got cut.

But, the schools listened. They came back with an even shorter list. Again, the parents bitched and moaned. So the district went back to the drawing board, looking to see which schools they could still close and piss as few parents off as possible.

A little over a week ago they came out with another “revised” list. Again, the parents complained and a fist fight even broke out at the meeting. This time the district capitulated completely and said they wouldn’t close any buildings.

Then, just a few days ago, Manhas put in his resignation.

He could have probably done a pretty good job, but he apparently feels as I do: If the parents don’t want to make sacrifices in either paying a whole lot more for their public schools or by having their child change schools, they they apparently don’t care enough about the problem.

I’d say goodbye too.

Care to take a guess

As to who will be making charges of vote fraud and disenfranchisement on November the 8th?

Of course you know who will be doing that, so here is a slightly harder question:

Can you guess what they’re evidence will be?

I don’t know exactly which excuse they’ll use either, but I know what they won’t be talking about

Bogus voter address changes in St. Louis

Hundreds of bogus address changes have surfaced near St. Louis and the election board is warning voters to make sure they get a polling-place notification card.

If the card does not show up, a voter’s address may have been fraudulently changed, the county elections director said.

The bogus address changes are among fraudulent voter-registration cards turning up in St. Louis County within the past couple of months, The St. Louis Post Dispatch reported.

The bogus registrations included at least one dead person, officials said.

Most of the suspicious registrations and address changes were submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN, election officials said.

ACORN is under scrutiny for thousands of suspicious voter registrations submitted in St. Louis, which is separate from St. Louis County, and Kansas City

You can damn well put money on that they’ll forget all about these pre-election prblems if/when the numbers come out in a way they don’t like.
