For some reason

I could really care less how he feels.

I don’t listen to Limbaugh, as I’m generally getting to bed about that time of morning and falling asleep while a blowhard is blathering is more than somewhat difficult.

I’ve been reading around the rightosphere about his “Operation Chaos” though, and I appreciate the sentiment of keeping the Dem race close right up until the convention. However, I do fear that if HRC does get the nomination, we may regret lend a hand to keep her afloat.

One of the many good things about keeping the race close is idiots like “Sargent Pepper” over at the Obama-loving dKos Animal Farm and Petting Zoo getting all blustery over “Operation Chaos”

Quick diary, but today’s headline in the Morning Call, my local newspaper here in PA says that, so far, 57,651 Republicans have switched to the Democratic party for the primary.

How many are Rush Limbaugh listeners?

HRC must acknowledge and disavow this practice. She can’t keep pretending that this isn’t happening, and that her “electibility” is really as “high” as what it appears to be.

Hmm, he certainly doesn’tlike it when R’s cross over to help out Obama’s opponent. However, I do wonder what his attitude was back in the middle of January?

Next Tuesday, January 15th, Michigan will hold its primary. Michigan Democrats should vote for Mitt Romney, because if Mitt wins, Democrats win.

Kos’ emphasis, not mine.

You get what you put in the ground, my friend.

Enjoy Denver, Sarge. I’m hoping to.

Hey!

Californian gunnies!

Ready to move yet?

On Tuesday, April 8, the Assembly Public Safety Committee will consider legislation that would require gun owners to obtain a “permit-to-purchase” before buying handgun ammunition.

Introduced by State Assembly Member Kevin De Leon (D-45), Assembly Bill 2062 puts ammunition sales in the crosshairs. AB2062 would require that law-abiding gun owners obtain a permit to buy handgun ammunition and would impose severe restrictions on the private transfers of handgun ammunition. Applicants for a “permit-to-purchase” would be required to submit to a background check, pay a $35 fee, and wait as long as 30 days to receive the permit.

No? How about now?

Under AB2062, it would be unlawful to privately transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month, even between family and friends, unless you are registered as a “handgun ammunition vendor” in the Department of Justice’s database. Ammunition retailers would have to be licensed and store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers. The bill would also require vendors to keep a record of the transaction including the ammunition buyer’s name, driver’s license, the quantity, caliber and type of ammunition purchased, and right thumbprint, which would be submitted to the Department of Justice or the number of his handgun ammunition purchase permit. Vendors would be required to contact the purchase permit database, to verify the validity of a permit before completing a sale. All ammunition sales in the State of California would be subject to a $3 per transaction tax. Lastly, mail order ammunition sales would be prohibited.

Apparently, with only being able to take 50 practice shots a month, they want a bunch of bad marksmen.

Sorry y’all, but you couldn’t pay me to stay there. Hell, as it is right now, I refuse to even visit.

Enjoy the sunshine. Your prison camp masters prefer their slaves well tanned.

The Soundboard: Incommunicable Edition

The Obama supporters just can’t get enough of smoking Barack-pole and are trying their damnedest to elevate the man to Martin Luther King Jr. status, when he is clearly nothing more than a Grade-A bullshit artist.

They take all this abuse from him and come back begging to get slapped upside their empty little heads “just one more time, please!”

His last speech is just the latest example. The basic message was “You white people will never understand black people, so just forget about what an angry black man and/or groups of angry black men said and let us move on and forget, because you white people will never understand us black people”.

What Barack doesn’t understand, maybe because he is a black man, though I readily admit that I have no idea what his hang-up is, is that I understand him/them/they/who completely. Their society/culture in America was created under struggle. Now that said struggle is over/has been over, their society/culture is struggling to re-adjust.

Both are the white man’s fault. We caused the struggle, and then we made it go away.

If this isn’t as hateful as a clan member saying that black culture is destroying white America, than stop the bus, I want to get off.

Sure, he can say these things eloquently and sound all unoffensive about it, but the underlying fact is that he, his wife and his preacher of at least 17 years, blame someone else for their society’s/culture’s problems.

I have no problem understanding this.

But the guy on today’s tunage, who is very likely also a black man, I cannot understand.

He is pissed about something, but with my damned Caucasian ears, or maybe it is my pasty white mind that is easily distracted by the hardcore Drum & Bass groove, I could not help him with his problem.

The only science they don’t believe

Is the science without bias.

Some 3,000 scientific robots that are plying the ocean have sent home a puzzling message. These diving instruments suggest that the oceans have not warmed up at all over the past four or five years. That could mean global warming has taken a breather. Or it could mean scientists aren’t quite understanding what their robots are telling them.

This is puzzling in part because here on the surface of the Earth, the years since 2003 have been some of the hottest on record. But Josh Willis at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory says the oceans are what really matter when it comes to global warming.

In fact, 80 percent to 90 percent of global warming involves heating up ocean waters. They hold much more heat than the atmosphere can. So Willis has been studying the ocean with a fleet of robotic instruments called the Argo system. The buoys can dive 3,000 feet down and measure ocean temperature. Since the system was fully deployed in 2003, it has recorded no warming of the global oceans.

Now, you’ll remember this post wherein Mark Philip Alger tells us about the “weather tracking stations” and not just the flaws in their location and construction, but also the flaws in letting humans with possible (and quite probable) bias collect the information.

Now we have nearly five years of unquestionable data coming from over 3000 different machines placed around the planet, who are without bias, telling us that the main indicator of the Death Cult’s religion isn’t correlating with their theory, and both the Death Cult believers who read the machine’s data and the Kool-Aid drinking media calls it simply “Puzzling”.

I remember not wanting to believe there was no such person as Santa Claus, but my first response was not to call it “Puzzling”.

Introducing the Toyota/Scion Hako

scion-hako-600a-0308.jpg

For being mite-sized cars, I liked the original xB well enough (and the xA and Yaris even more). But this is one I can’t wait to see on showroom floors in the next couple years if Toyota lets Scion produce it.

For any Toyota design/management folks out there who may be reading (or others whom I wrote to last night), it is just this simple…

Make just two versions: One very basic and one sports edition. The basic edition gets a radio and a heater and a 1.3 liter that’ll get close to 40mpg marketed towards commuters.

The sportier edition gets the 2.0 liter mill and a kick ass exhaust. Make sure you mate it to a decent manual transmission.

This edition also comes with three different extra paint schemes: Matte Reddish-Brown, Matte Gray and Matte Black.

Also include two special wheel packages: One baby moon style and one full moon style.

Lastly, move the side mirrors to the top of A-Pillar.

Make 100,000 of them and get them over here ASAP for under 18K. I might even realistically be able to take one of each.

For those of you not interested in my requests to good ‘ol ToyodaCorp, click here to see the rest of the cars Popular Mechanics saw at the New York Auto Show.

Poll Shows Most Palestinians Favor Violence Over Talks

A new poll shows that an overwhelming majority of Palestinians support the attack this month on a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem that killed eight young men, most of them teenagers, an indication of the alarming level of Israeli-Palestinian tension in recent weeks.

The survey also shows unprecedented support for the shooting of rockets on Israeli towns from the Gaza Strip and for the end of the peace negotiations between Palestinian and Israeli leaders.

Oh wait, I’ve been knowing these facts for at least the last five years.

Glad to see the facts are still proving me right.

Which is why I think I can positively pontificate that this will be blamed on The Jooos too

A new and virulent wheat fungus, previously found in East Africa and Yemen, has moved to major wheat growing areas in Iran, reports the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization. The fungus is capable of wreaking havoc to wheat production by destroying entire fields.

Countries east of Iran, like Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, all major wheat producers, are most threatened by the fungus and should be on high alert, FAO said.

It is estimated that as much as 80 percent of all wheat varieties planted in Asia and Africa are susceptible to the wheat stem rust (Puccinia graminis). The spores of wheat rust are mostly carried by wind over long distances and across continents.

Damm Jooos!

The Other SCOTUS Case from Yesterday

Whilst everyone was lining up and waiting with bated breath watching/listening to Heller V. DC yesterday, the Justices put out a decision pertaining to Washington State’s Top Two general election system.

Over simplified explanation: The Secretary of State is required to pick the top two vote getters from the Primary Election and put only their names on the General Election ballot.

Yes, it is as stupid as it sounds.

And yes, it could mean that people in Seattle only get to choose from two Democrats in the general election if no Republican gets more votes than the lesser of the two Democrats.

And also, yes, it means that third party candidates will probably never get on the ballot until a new process is brought into action.

And once again, yes, getting a new process around the two major parties so that third party candidates can get on the general election ballot may be nigh impossible.

So this is why I am not writing about Heller today. Writing while being in a general fit of pissed-offedness at all the Justices except for Justice Scalia and Justice Kennedy today might give off bad juju.

Treating Citizenship as a Game

More proof that they don’t understand how important it is to those who have it.

A pro-illegal immigration group
has developed a FlashPlayer video game in the name of “Immigration and Human Right Education”.

ICED!: I Can End Deportation
is the moniker and you can play it here.

Avoid the ICE officers, or you’ll be ICED! “Civic good deeds” get you “points” towards citizenship. Also, there are questions about immigration to the US, answer them wrong, or you’ll be ICED!

Oddly enough, there aren’t any questions about why the person didn’t just go through the proper channels for citizenship in the first place.
