Finally, some sensible talk on the “Citizens United” decision from constitutional lawyer, Michael Carvin, in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee this week.
He owns this room so well, that even the Committee’s Chairman, Senator Patrick “Leaky” Leahy, had to award him the the prize of “the highest level of sarcasm we’ve heard before this committee in a long time.”

He has it right that the “cliff” we’ll be facing in January isn’t the one we should be worried about in the long term. He’s also right about how to level out the long term “cliff”. But as I said above, it is too bad no one with the power to take any of his suggestions will end up listening to any of them.

It is no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention the last decade or more that the left and their leaders believe that they are good people because they do with other people’s money “what those other people would not do”.
This video shows what the left does, albeit on a more direct scale.
In the video, the elected Mayor of Hornachuelos, Spain, Juan Manuel Sanchez Gordillo, rials up the people in an around his town and then takes them on a march to the area where there are a large number of farms. He then encourages them to trespass onto the farm and steal food from the farm.
He calls it “stealing from the government in protest of their policies.” I would call it a flash mob of thieves. Prior to getting elected, Gordillo was famous for riling up people in one town to go and flash mob grocery stores in neighboring towns.
He is, of course, getting much help and man-power from the unions in Spain, who are seeing more than one-third of their members out of work and unwilling to take a lower paying, non-union job when one comes up.

As it was yesterday, I didn’t watch teleprompter guy. Unlike yesterday, I did watch a decent portion of Biden’s speech, but I had to stop after a few minutes of him screwing up every single line in it.
Instead, I hit the web and watched The Daily Show beclown attendees of the DNC. Thought you all might like it.

I did not watch the philanderer-in-chief last night as I had some paint that needed to be watched while drying. However, I’m sure it went something along the lines of “rich people”, “fair share”, “prosperity is in the future”, “healthcare” and possibly “don’t deify me unless you really feel you need to”.
He may have even said something about paying taxes being patriotic again, which means the teleprompter-in-chief employs many unpatriotic people.
