Is Belgium the most insignificant country in the EU? In Europe? In the world?

Why we should care what the “Belgian socialists think?”:http://weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/005/276vsdtv.asp
And while you’re at it, remind me why the Europeans believe they are the “enlightened” ones?

While you’re at it, Belgium, guess you will want to “piss on them as well, eh?”:http://users.skynet.be/bulgecriba/monuments.html
Oh, yeah, and “him”:http://www.homeofheroes.com/moh/citations_living/ii_a_hendrix.html as well, I suppose. Awww, heck, how about we just “piss on all of these guys”:http://www.homeofheroes.com/moh/war/15_wwii.html, right, Belgium?
Wow – 464 Medals of Honor in WWII – almost 60% of them posthumous.
The Committee to Protect Bloggers has deemed today FREE MOJTABA AND ARASH DAY.
Mojtaba and Arash are two jailed Iranian bloggers, put into prison by the Iranian government for, well, blogging.
Arash Sigarchi is still in Lakan prison in the Iranian city of Rashat.
Fellow Iranian blogger Mojtaba Saminejad has been released from prison in Tehran but still faces charges.
The Committee blog has links to officials in the Iranian government. E-Mail them and let them know how America really works.
We can say what we want, when we want, without fear of reprisal.
Any government that does not allow their citizens that same freedom must be a government of insecure, pencil-dicked tea-hustlers who couldnt find their ass with two hands and a flashlight.
(yes those lines may have been in my email)
Hop to it, folks. Please.
Scott Ritter; sex offender and reporter for al-Jazeera was in my fair state the past couple days, making anti-Bush rhetoric and pro-Islamofascist speeches to the masses in and around the state capital of Olympia.
In his ramblings, he decided that he needed to punch up the atmosphere and said something that has the local left wing all abuzz,
SCOTT RITTER SAYS U.S. PLANS JUNE ATTACK ON IRAN
Scott Ritter, appearing with journalist Dahr Jamail yesterday in Washington State, dropped two shocking bombshells in a talk delivered to a packed house in Olympias Capitol Theater. The ex-Marine turned UNSCOM weapons inspector said that George W. Bush has “signed off” on plans to bomb Iran in June 2005, and claimed the U.S. manipulated the results of the recent Jan. 30 elections in Iraq.
Olympians like to call the Capitol Theater “historic,” but it’s doubtful whether the eighty-year-old edifice has ever been the scene of more portentous revelations.
On Iran, Ritter said that President George W. Bush has received and signed off on orders for an aerial attack on Iran planned for June 2005. Its purported goal is the destruction of Irans alleged program to develop nuclear weapons, but Ritter said neoconservatives in the administration also expected that the attack would set in motion a chain of events leading to regime change in the oil-rich nation of 70 million — a possibility Ritter regards with the greatest skepticism.
Of course, Ritter-the-Kiddie-Diddler would not reveal his source/s on this hot topic, which leaves me only to remind everyone of Congressman Maurice Hincheys comments from over the weekend alleging that there was A Rovian Plan to give CBS the fake documents,
All the left wing has is wild accusation and conspiracy theory.
I heard Mr. I Took Money From Saddam Ritter on the loony left wing radio channel last night, espousing all that is reported in the link above and more. Most of the new info was just crap about how Israel is tying the US to this June bombing plan.
Wooo-doggie! I hope I didnt scare any of my co-workers with my maniacal laughter.
Oh and BTW, if the attack does not happen in June, theyll say that it was only because They exposed the plans to the world and the US and Israel had to call it off.
Kevin at The Smallest Minority writes about a 911 call in which the call receiver (CR) kept telling the reporting party (RP) to put down the gun she was using to hold an assailant at bay with before the reporting officers (RO) arrived.
As the struggle moved down the street, a neighbor — whom Theresa Gesell identified as “Hershall” — stopped to help. Theresa then grabbed her .45-caliber pistol and continued running after Campbell — despite the dispatcher’s plea for her to drop the handgun.
“I am going to go get my .45 … you all are too slow,” she said.
As the call continues, the dispatcher asks Theresa to get rid of the weapon. However, after the suspect tried to escape along a creek bed, Theresa and Hershall used the pistol to make sure he didn’t leave.
“You can go put that gun up now,” the dispatcher said.
“No sir,” Theresa replied.
The reason I titled this post as I did is because the CR was doing something very strange in telling the reporting party to put the gun away, at least according to the officers and 911 call receivers I know of.
As some of you may know, the Analog Wife works for one of the local constabularys 911 centers and I also have had this conversation with a god sized number of local peace officers in my locale. Telling an RP to put away a weapon before the ROs arrive is not policy anywhere around here that I can find.
If the RP does put the weapon away and the assailant attacks them again, the RP can sue the department the CR is attached to for ordering the RP to put themselves in danger.
A CR is not a referee who is supposed to keep the fight fair, they are only there to take the call, transfer it to dispatch (unless they are themselves dispatch) who radios it to the officers.
If the RP does any actual shooting of themselves or someone else, the department cannot be held responsible, unless they instructed the RP to gather up a weapon.
This is one of the reasons why I could never work for 911. If someone doesn’t have a means of protection, I’m likely to start chewing on their ear in a not so gentle manner.
The ROs greatly appreciate it if the RP puts the firearm away when they arrive on scene and the CR will probably instruct the RP to do that for the ROs safety if they still have the RP on the line.
Other than that, I do have to ask if this jurisdiction in Oklahoma has a different policy where they do ask the RP to put the weapon down as quickly as possible, which would be just plain ignorant, as Kevin more than writes about.
Otherwise I am only seeing this as some gun-bigot of a call receiver who got freaked out by an armed citizen.
Either way, this definitely needs to be looked into and the policy/procedure clarified. Had the RP set the gun down when first asked, not only would she not have her purse back and a criminal not be in prison where he belongs, she might have been actually harmed by a very pissed off assailant. This CR needs their brain checked and maybe have their bigotry questioned for attempting to put an RP in danger.
Check out the crap the Euros are having stuffed down their throats;
*Agence France-Presse, under the headline ‘Palestinian schoolgirl shot dead by Israeli troops in Gaza’
*The Independent based its story on a UN official who directly accused the IDF of firing on Deab, then passed off IDF spokespersons who denied culpability as ‘plainly embarrassed.’
*Knight Ridder-Tribune quoted both Ahmed Qurei decrying the shooting as an IDF ‘war crime,’ and a UN official condemning ‘the Israeli military’s indiscriminate firing into civilian areas.’
It sounds horrible doesnt it? I mean, the little girl being shot is most definitely horrible, but, I mean it sounds bad for the IDF, right?
That is the way the reporters want you to feel.
Here is what actually happened;
On Monday (1/31), 10-year-old Nuran Deab was struck by a bullet in southern Gaza and died shortly thereafter. The IDF immediately suggested the gunshots may have come from nearby Palestinians firing celebratory shots in the air. Further, Reuters stated that ‘it did not appear that Israeli soldiers some 600 meters away could have seen into the [school] compound from their position behind high walls.’ … This lopsided version of events appears all the more ludicrous given the Jerusalem Post’s report that PA police have now arrested a Palestinian man for the shooting.
But the reporters have to play the childs death up so that they can sell copy to their potential Eurabian readers.
That is truly sick.

You may remember last week when I told you all about David Horowitz’s newest addition to the internets, “Discover the Networkâ€, the site that makes it easy for you to find out the connections and the funding behind your favorite leftist.
Apparently, the left isn’t too happy about it, as was suspected.
As we expected, the left has not taken the news presented on our site well.
A pro-Islamic jihad writer for Alex Cockburn’s CounterPunch regards it naturally as “David Horowitz’s Smear Portal†and objects to our linking noble champions of social justice like himself with the “resisters†in the Sunni triangle he supports. But other, less politically deranged exponents of the leftist persuasion have also weighed in with objections to these inclusions. This article is by way of answering their complaints.
In the first place it should be pointed out that even though DiscoverTheNetwork consists of thousands of files, and is the product of years of work and decades of experience, these critics have launched their attacks within hours of its appearance on the web and before any serious person could have digested a fraction of its contents. It is difficult not to regard such attacks as politically motivated attempts to stigmatize, tarnish and yes, smear, the new website, and thus bury the enterprise in a way that would preclude having to deal with the information it displays.
Poor wittle wefties! Boo-hoo-hoho!
They don’t like being compared the jihadis they hope will win in Iraq. Maybe they should stop egging the jihadis on.
Oh and BTW loony left wing liberals, the longer I get called a fascist, the longer you get called a jihad supporter. Let’s keep this fight fair.

A couple weeks ago, Mike at Sworn Enemy linked to a report from the NRA-ILA about a coalition of human rights groups lobbying the United Nations to draw up and pass new Gun Control legislation that would be able to be enforced WORLD WIDE.
A coalition of human “rights” groups is urging the United Nations (UN) to begin drawing up plans for a “legally binding,” worldwide “marking and tracing” system that they foresee as a means to track firearms from “factory” to “user” anywhere in the world (including the United States).
The coalition includes the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) and its vehemently anti-gun Director Rebecca Peters (who, in October 2004, debated NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre in the “Great Gun Debate”), in addition to Amnesty International and Oxfam International.
Despite the fact that numerous iterations of this flawed concept have already proven ineffective and unworkable, the gun-ban groups are nonetheless pushing the proposal, which, in the end, amounts to nothing more than a dressed up global registration scheme. It is also, they hope, a means by which they can foist their anti-gun agenda on other countries worldwide.
And this is where the Gun Control argument gets sticky among some gun rights supporters.
Just as abortion will never be outlawed by the Republicans, firearms laws will never get to the point of confiscation under the Democrats.
Oh sure, theyll try their hardest, and theyll bitch, moan, whine and scream bloody murder when they dont get their way. But chances are that the Dems will never have the power to do anything like that without the help of the Republicans.
Basically they will need the Republicans help in either putting a judge or judges onto the SCOTUS bench who will rule the Second Amendment is irrelevant or will need them to pass an Amendment nullifying the Second.
Now dont get me wrong, this is no reason to not watch their every move and vote as many of them out of office as possible. This goes for Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) as well. But the Dems simply will not get their way on Gun Control Legislation without Republican help.
Unless you add the help of some international body like the UN.
This is the Dems one ace up their sleeve on this topic.
Before I even started blogging, Misha had a post about the UN trying to count the firearms in the US. I cannot find it now, as I am sure youll understand that trying to look up disparaging words about both the UN and Gun Control at the Imperial Website is a long and arduous task.
Here’s the scoop, the UN held meetings with the ATF during the eight years of the Clinton Administration and believes that they now know an approximate and accurate estimate of how many firearms are privately owned in the US.
If that doesnt scare the shit out of you, I dont know what will.

Excerpts of secretly recorded conversations with President Bush while he was Governor of Texas were released in the NYT over the weekend. The recording was done by a friend of Bushs, Doug Wead, former aide to President GHWB and to President GWB during his time as Governor.
While this type of betrayal is one of the lowest forms of backstabbing and a tarring and feathering would be a light punishment in my mind, I am doing my best to see the good that is coming out of the situation.
If you read the excerpts, the insider view of Bush looks a lot like the view that any outsider who has control of his or her sanity would have.
Loving husband, father and son, devoted Christian and secure in his principles.
Also, in a blow to the freaks on the left side of the aisle, Bush doesnt want to kill all the homosexuals!
But Mr. Bush also repeatedly worried that prominent evangelical Christians would not like his refusal “to kick gays.”
/sarcasm set for stun/ Imagine that, a religious man who isnt full of hate for homosexuals! /sarcasm off/
I know that this is going to take a long time for that to sink in for those on the left, but it there really is such a thing.
A quote from the second commenter at the Klueless Kos Klan, chicagochristianleft”;
I read the NYT article and it comes off like a propaganda peice to me
Of course! It is all one big conspiracy, as usual.
