Equity, the New Buzzword

Straight from a San Francisco Bay Area leftist board’s retreat to you:

It’s not enough to be equal, you see: we must work to provide equity–through the coercive power of the government, of course.

I sit through these things and marvel at everyone smiling and smiling, the Hamlet quote ever -present in my mind.

You didn’t pay to be told this, did you?

The folks who handed you the picture seem to like “snapshots in time”. Notice that the guy who had to give up his box is significantly older than the one who received it. Maybe if it were pointed out that the receiver would eventually be able to work his way up to an appropriate height so that he wouldn’t need said box, they would see how ignorant their analogy was.

Yeah, yeah, I know. They’ll never admit it.

Also, it appears that the three at the fence are stealing their entertainment. Very subtle.

looking for that graphic on Google I find one that takes it a step further and calls for “justice”…gaah! There is not enough mind-bleach to pour into their heads.

Yeah, equity – they should all be allowed to steal from others, right? (watching the game w/o paying). If the big guy brought the three boxes, and distributed them voluntarily, I’ve got no problem with it. If they were coercivly distributed, then it’s a different story. Could be a good picture, depending on the lesson plan that goes with it. Used to teach how the left warps language, ignores time-frames, individualism, and other things in order to aim at short term victories with bad long-term consequences, it could be a great argument, er, I mean, lesson…
