Ohhhh man, look what just arrived, courtesy of cigar aficionado and blogger Jim of the sunken sloop New Dawn:
That’s two boxes of “Red Label” Maduros and Silver Labeled “Manny Specials.” Jim sez: “…all their cigars are hand rolled, right here in League City, TX. All from Cuban seed leaves, from throughout the Carribean/Central American basin. BTW, you DO NOT want to get into a revolver match with him….he will fire 6-x, smoke a Churchill, reload and fire 6 more X before you’ve shucked your first cylinder-load. It seemed that way, anyhow…
Way back when, Cap’n Jim sent me a batch of cigars, including one from Cuban Crafters that was the best cigar I’d ever had. I’m still indebted to him for that. Don’t know if my wife feels the same way, as I pretty much immediately went out and spent more money on cigars, but still…..

Now then, might I hope for an update to this post, with a smoker’s review of the cigars at hand? Given that it’s raining here, and will continue to rain throughout the day, my workday is pretty much kaput, so I’m going to drive up to El Cubano, and relax there with some Cuban coffee and a fine seegar.
