And I wonder where all the honest cops are

Miami PD & Florida Highway Patrol are all a tizzy because a MPD officer did a traffic stop on a FHP trooper, and failed to give “Professional Courtesy”.  Now the FHP is all butthurt, and the MPD is busy smacking the officer down while at the same time shoving it’s collective nose so far up FHPs backside they can see daylight.

First off, “Professional Courtesy” should no be a wink & a nod, but rather, a promise to not treat a fellow law enforcement officer any better, or worse, than any other citizen.

Second, this shows just how utterly morally corrupt our police can be, and how everyone is A-OK with it!  Imagine if this type of behavior had been tolerated by members of our military?  OMG!  There would be such a hew & cry, and wailing, & gnashing of teeth over how awful our military is, and how corrupt, and how it destroys the moral fiber of our young men & women to turn them into such monsters.

This year alone the US Navy has cashiered something like 20 COs for bad behavior (mostly fraternizing with junior officers or enlisted, and some conduct unbecoming).  It’s a strange dichotomy, that we demand the highest standards of conduct & behavior from the people we send elsewhere to enforce our will, but the people at home, that’s just “boys will be boys”.

Didn’t you hear? Some pigs are more equal than others. Come ON, and Get with the program! They can’t protect and serve and uphold the law if they are deal with such frivolous things as tickets….

Gah – I hope the media hoop it up and make a big stink about it, and every one of the cops (including those on up the chain of command) involved get personally and publicly embarrassed, big-time.

Well… Is the alternative that FHP troopers start issuing tickets to Miami PD every chance they get as payback?

Would that be such a bad thing?

I wonder how the various po-po depts. get around their red-light revenue camera tickets when they aren’t in their official vehicles.

This story is more than six years old, but it’s what we’ve come to expect:
