Why the Seattle Area bugs me

Because the people here talk a great liberal game, but are incapable of executing it.

I’ve visited & lived in cities that have put together great public transportation systems, or solid welfare systems, or other liberal hopes, and they all had one thing in common: Public Action.

Sure, these things cost money, and when put to a vote, the people in those places said yes to the tax increases (sometimes narrowly, sometimes resoundingly), but they also kept an eye fixed hard on the people spending that money, and when those people dropped the ball, they demanded accountability, and they peacefully assembled, rallied, & voted to get it.

Sound Transit seems to be immune from accountability, and the people out here seem uninterested in demanding it.
