It is being reported that Washington Senator, Patty Murray (aka: She who though Osama Bin Laden was building day cares in Afghanistan) is joining with 25 other Senators to try and get the 2018 or 2022 World Cup Soccer matches held in the US. Specifically, in Seattle.
Hopefully, I’ll be out of here by then. And if I am, you have my permission to take off and nuke the site from orbit.
If I’m not, well, go ahead anyway because it’ll be hell. This town cannot even handle a low-attendance baseball game and a low-attendance soccer match on the same day. The would be no way we’d be able to handle traffic at both the Sodo area stadiums AND the University of Washington Stadium.
Crikey! This mean that they would also want to use stadia as far out as Oregon.
Well, time to plan ahead. A month aboard my boat cruising in the Canadian/Alaskan waters seems to be the thing to do.
