Epic Flaw

The BBC asked more than 29,000 people in 27 countries if they liked the way capitalism is working.

When they got their results they published an article with this headline

Free Market Flawed, say survey

Never mind that there hasn’t been a “free market” world economy on the planet since the Industrial Revolution.

The BBC asked 29,000 people if they would like their respective governments to give them more money that they wouldn’t have to work for, and they think it is news that 9 out of 10 of them said yes.

And then they wonder why folks consider the BBC biased.

PS: Actually, I almost wrote that there hasn’t been a free market “since the Romans”, but I though that might have been rude.

Romans? Meh. I think the Romans were the first to try to meddle in the then-world markets.
