Basically, you have “team players” like the NRA, CGF, and CRPA. The “team players” get stuff done because they work together and have a strategy. They try not to let their ego get in front of their work.
Then, on the other hand, you have the “vocal idiots.” These are the people who are driven by ego, picture themselves as crusaders, file poorly thought out cases, and thus screw things up for the rest of us.
All it takes is ONE attorney with more balls than brains to screw things up for the entire friggen state.
From this thread on Calguns. Read the first post. If you don’t have time for that, read this email and tremble at the thought that its author, rather than Alan Gura, might end up in front of the full 9th Circuit defending Nordyke — and likely undoing Nordyke as a result. He’s set horrible precedent in California before.
Sometimes, you just wish some people would just stop helping. What an atrocious attitude, and I can only imagine how the judges will take it…

i read the email and I was appaled at th earrogance. But between the lines I read that he was profesionally insulted. Now I do not know the details of Silveira and he may have some points.
All I know is that Gura won but he was helped by SCOTUS. He was very cautious and limited in his arguements and was willing to allow the idea that machines gun of course were not covered under the 2A. He should never been drawn into that discussion.
So without more info all I can say is that this attorney is an ass and a jerk and may have some justifications for being pissed off.
I wish that people could coordinate cases. But the NRA did not help Nordyke who while lost on the right to have gun show did get the 2A incorporated in the 9th
