Seen on Hwy 580 Westbound, Part 1

Not what you usually expect to see in the next lane over.

    The front end of an F-8 being pulled by a station wagon(?) Ya’ don’t see that everyday.

    Could also be an A-7; they had pretty much the same look.

    I think the pointy nose gives it away, and I never recall seeing an A-7 with shark teeth.

    Vought F-8 Crusader, the Last of the Gunfighters!!!!!
    The last ones on active service in the US Navy were RF-8Gs with VFP-62 and 63. The Reserve Squadrons at Dallas and Washington DC also flew the F-8E into the 1970’s.
