Nobody noticed it yesterday, so I’m bumping it to its own post. Comments from Marylanders on this purported outrage would be appreciated. This means you, Kirk.

I had my doubts upon reading it but the story seems to be true. Verified on the MDShooters forum. There is no law about registering ammo purchases with the state police. Seems the police guilt some small dealers into it, as well as Squal-Mart.
Me, I would never purchase ammo from a vendor that required my ID.
Now the State police sending in a “swat” team at Midnight. That would require a lawsuit to get the state to pay up and knock it off.
As was stated on the MDShooters forum. They should come back during the day like civilized people.
My thought is that they should disband a unit that is doing things this blatantly illegal.
Outrage? Bah… I live in the Peoples Republic of Maryland, much like you live in Kalifornistan… We both need to move.
Yeah, I was pretty outraged about it when I read about it over the weekend. Still am…
But there isn’t a whole lot I can do from Oregon, though… Except write to my state and federal congresscritters.
Note that he voluntarily let them into his house.
Wink wink. You don’t have to do that.
