Your Evening Gun, Mr. Bond?

As an early Christmas present this year, Santa has brought me this Bersa Thunder .380 (because Kalifornia won’t allow me to buy a Kel-Tec, dammit). Bought it through Gunbroker for a good price. Picked it up today at the dealer, who warned me that Bersa subcontracts its factory service to some gunsmith in Colorado. Looks purty, at least (click to embiggen the pics). We’ll see how it shoots the Ugly Ammo: Finnish cartridges for an Argentinian gun modeled after a German pistol that became famous in American movies about a fictional British spy….

BTW, if you haven’t seen Casino Royale, do so. It’s the best Bond movie ever, with the possible exception of From Russia with Love. (Not that the bar was set very high to begin with, of course; the books are far better than the movies.)

David – Phil’s stepdad has that exact same gun, bought it a few months ago. Has taken it to the range numerous times and never had cause to be the least bit sorry he purchased it. He did say, however, the catalog shows the screw in the grip should also be gold finish. Petty details. It is
    purty isn’t it?

Have fun. And Merry HO HO !!!

I got the wife the unadorned Bersa at Acadamy for just over $220. She’s just getting into guns, and doesn’t like it as much as her .22 revolver- it’s too light.

She can get all 9 rounds of her Tarus onto the paper @25 yards, but the Bersa is so light that she can only hit the paper @10 yards.
