I’m back. With a question.

Howdy all!

The posts below this one describe what has happened over the past four days or so. The first post below this one is a review of equipment I found useful and the second one down is the anecdotals. I hope you enjoy them both.

I’ll get back into news and views tomorrow. I just want to get this stuff out of my head before whupping into the grind again.

Let me preface my question with this: In December of 2004 through the first part of 2005, I wrote a series of posts that became their own category called “By Ourselves, For Ourselves”. The series talked about SHTF prep and equipment, among other things, and a number of people then found it helpful and it sparked some rather good discussions around the halls of RNS.

Unfortunately, the parts that remain on the server have had their HTML mangled by the change from Movable Type to WordPress and there are a couple sections that are just plain not there any more. However, I do have a copy of the old back-up and I’m pretty sure that the missing parts are in there.

So, my question is: Would anyone read it if I reposted it?

I know I can, and I’d be happy to do so, but it may take a bit of time to find, fix the links, restore the pics, etc. and I’m not thinking it’d be worth it if no one gave a rat’s patootie.

Let me know in the comments sections of these three posts or via email.

Enjoy!

Well, I would. I pop back to those pages from time to time anyway.

OTOH, if I’m the only one who likes ’em, maybe you could just email ’em to me and I’ll print ’em out once and for all.

  2. Mark says:

I second that motion. I have some bookmarked but I think the links only go back to part 2,3 (?).

Like David above, I’d be pleased to get them in email if there’s not enough interest in a repost.

  3. I’d read ’em, especially since I didn’t get them bookmarked the first time.

Certainly – I don’t think you can have too many resources and first hand experiences written!

  5. CAshane says:

I would definitely read a repost on this subject. If anything, I can go through and mentally check off what I have successfully prepared and what I still need to do…

  6. Rivrdog says:

Repost it. That kind of information MUST be re-read and refreshed in the memory frequently.

  7. Ted says:

Absolutely. I link to them once in a while anyways, and this would be a good reason to do so again.

  8. jetfxr69 says:

I’d like to read them as well.

  9. Fred says:

    Please post them again.

  10. freddyboomboom says:

    Please repost…

I’ll then make PDFs of them, and can host the PDFs on my home account ‘free’ website for you…

    🙂

    Definately!

    Repost away!

    Please post them again.
