I guess the Feiler Faster Principle applies to political cartoons, too!Â
I hope I’m not showing my age too much by marveling that this YouTube video has become so widely viewed so quickly that a newspaper’s political cartoonist could unblushingly use it to lampoon the new danger of liquid bombs on aircraft (click, then scroll down to “Chemical Reaction,” the cartoon for August 11th).
Cartoonist Nick Anderson doesn’t seem too worried that anybody won’t get the joke, although he helpfully included links on his site for the clueless.
Well, just call me clueless, ’cause his cartoon ran in my local paper today, and I didn’t get it –Â until I happened on the appropriate video over at Kirk’s place. Thanks for keeping me culturally hip, Kirk!
