A Slight Change in Direction

Some folks noticed that last week I stepped up to posting a larger number of items involving idiotic or moronic statements from the left side of the blogosphere than usual. Not all were happy about it. I didn’t get actual complaints, but some were wondering if I was feeling allright or if there was a reason I was especially grumpy.

To answer those in a word: Yes.

I am feeling quite fine, but I am grumpy I have come to the conclusion that the left wing of the United States is no longer worthy of the tile “The Faithful Opposition” and I have no faith that the right wing will meet my expectations. I have actually known the first part of this since at least 1999, but now that they refuse to take anything regarding this nation seriously and are only willing to oppose or promote something if it will help them regain their previously held stranglehold of power I’ve decided that I’m going to blog the as much of their own ignorance as possible. They don’t care about the security of the nation or its citizens, nor do they care about being honest and forthright, so I have started along a path to show them out on their ignorance and the insipid items they use to bring themselves back into national politics at a competitive level.

Yes, there are already other sites that do this, some of them even do it better; but one more blog in the mix isn’t the worst thing in the world. I will do my best not to become overly negative, but there will be moments when I have nothing left but disdain for them.

The left’s hypocrisy has become so overt that at times I cannot even stand to be in the same nation as they. They will call me a puppet of dictators and an authortarian in the same sentence. They refuse to respect my rights as a citizen. They want to tell me what I am going to do and how I am going to do it, and for that, they have won the grand prize of my neverceasing spite.

Currently in Washington State, there is a House race where the left has called the Republican incumbent “a rubber stamp for Bush”. Yet I watch as the mentally deranged leftists spit on Senator Joe Leiberman and threaten to withhold support from Washington’s junior Senator, Maria Cantwell. These are their punishments for not voting the party line.

I see a man who has run an honest campaign, following Reagan’s 11th Commandment and telling the public of the things he has done which he is most embarassed by in his life, being used as fodder for drinking contests. None of his issues are being challenged because they would rather whistle from the peanut gallery and call him a drunk.

Fuck them. You can tell me that I’ve just gotten worked up over election-year political hackery, but I’ve had all I can stand and I can’t stands no mo.

Also here in Washington, judicial candidates who lobbyied for support from single issue PACs, and won their support are now being attacked politically by a Governor who won by fewer votes than the number of dollars I pay in state taxes per week. The crime of these judicial candidates: they didn’t lobby the right PACs. In fact, it has gotten so twisted that a group with a PAC of their own attempted to sue the other PACs.

I don’t have to put up with this, so I won’t be. This election is becoming one where one side wants to kill terrorists and the other just wants power; they’ll get around to those terrorists when they’re done celebrating.

All I have is my vote and this blog. Because I’m not a Democrat, I can only vote once in the primary and once in the general election.

But I can run through here every-got-dam-day.

I apologize ahead of time if these types of posts are not your cup of tea. I still value your opinons and comments as I have in the past, so feel abliged to cut loose in the comments section at your own free will.

To be perfectly honest, I was somewhat tiring of blogging everyday, and this new pissed-offed-ness has rekindled the fingers want to tap keys a bit. To also be perfectly honest, I have given up on most of the right wing of the blogosphere, except for a select couple dozen blogs of people I know and respect. You may see some changes in the blogroll in the future to reflect this.

I have, for the past month or so, begun reading more left wing blogs than those on my own political side to get away from the parroting I find all around the right side of the sphere. I have tired of reading the same story with the same opinion twenty times a day. At least when the left parrots something, I can count on a few very loose screws to make the discussion somewhat interesting.

I have never really done well in reading items that I agree with, preferring to read items on subjects I could never stand for. It makes for a good mental workout to formulate analytical arguments ahead of time so as to be preprared for the real thing.

Do not fear that I am being drawn over to the dark side. Unless I take a direct hit from a ‘Stupid Grenade’, they will never win me with they’re policies. There is still nothing to fear when I hit the ground.

Except for me, of course. I’ve always been my own worst enemy.

I for one don’t mind the idiot Left’s idiocy being pointed out. I do it myself sometimes, trawling those swamps so no one else has to.

I’ve just been wondering where the tunes have gone. I’m not sure how time-intesive it is for you to do those, but I’ve enjoyed them.

Heya DT, I’m still clearing out the harddrive on the server to make enough room to put a song in there every week. I’m taking baby steps so as to not knock the site down again.

They’ll be returning, will the Quotes of the Day, sooner than later.

  3. DFWMTX says:

    AH, ok; I’ll be patient.

One of these days if/when I begin to blog, I’d like to post cover songs and originals. I find it fun to compare.

Dude, you are doing a great job on the lunie left… I personally can not dip my toe into KOZ or DU. After one post and 3 comments I just shake my head and ask myself if those people are really that dumb.

    K

    Drunk commenting ahead…

“They refuse to respect my rights as a citizen.”

Dude, Not only do they refuse to respect my rights but they actively try and take them away…

  6. AnalogKid says:

Just because the commenting is done while drunk, does not mean it is incorrect.

    Especially your last line.
