I don’t know about you, but I know I must have seen this particular cover as a kid, and I sure didn’t see the implication in it he does.
Has our culture changed that much for the worse in twenty years that this is the conclusion we jump to? I mean, there’s always been this undercurrent, but that character’s spooky anyway. But this is an American icon!
A No-Prize for anyone who knows what the actual storyline was about in this issue. I’m pretty damn sure it wasn’t child rape, but then DC did some weird subjects during their “relevant” period in the ’70s, so I (yeesh) could be wrong….
