Oh, That Liberal Media

Lately, on the left wing blogs, there have been multiple posts stating that they now have proof that there is a “right wing bias” in the media.

Their proof? The Lewinski scandal coverage and that TV talk shows had a moderate majority of right wing pundits on starting around 1998. They completely miss the fact that 1. Sex Sells Ad Time, and 2. The two events may have coincided.

Anything for a fantasy, I guess.

But John the Poor Schmuck has found a reminder of the real, actual proof of a left wing bias media.

Go read this AFP article on Yahoo news before they change it.

And I quote:

Pentagon tagged terror ringleader 13 times pre-9/11: lawmaker

A secret US military intelligence unit had terrorist ringleader Mohammed Atta in its cross-hairs before the September 11, 2001 attacks 13 times, a congressman claimed, citing the unit’s records.

(snip)

Weldon, vice chairman of the House Armed Services and Homeland Security Committee, spoke on the eve of a House Armed Services joint subcommittee hearing on “Able Danger” which he has initiated.

The House representative has pressured Congress and the Pentagon to investigate “Able Danger” since August, arguing that government officials became aware of Atta’s ties to Al-Qaeda earlier than admitted.

Weldon said he now had proof there had been several attempts to transfer the information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, but they were blocked by lawyers for the administration of President George W. Bush.

“We have information that will be testified to under oath that there were attempts to transfer information to the FBI on at least three occasions, and on all three of those occasions in September of 2000, lawyers within the administration denied those meetings from taking place,” he said.

I really hope they run with this before doing the math.

Just for the record, it should be noted that the source of this story is the AFP… otherwise known as Agence France-Presse.

Kinda makes more sense now, doesn’t it?
