Keeping with the live music theme from last week, I’ve got a smokin’ selection from Soul Brother #1, James Brown.
You’ll probably never see much of anything from him in the snark box, but only because I’m not about to try and figure out what the man is saying half of the time. I’d hate to screw that up.
Anyway, this selection comes from the Love, Power, Peace album that was recorded live on March 8th, 1971 at the Olympia Theater in Paris.
If you don’t have this, you need to buy it (c’mon, $10.99 is a lot less than I paid for mine). It truly is a smokin’ album and the energy of the show definitely comes through.
