The wife woke me up yesterday to tell me that there was a package on the porch that she couldn’t lift.
Since she would have told me if it was ticking, I gradually made my way to the front door and brought the solidly wrapped carboard box inside.
Inside was a very smart looking crate with wood wrapped steel handles, Cyrillic writing and two lead sealed wires running through the latches.
Upon opening the crate, I saw a rectangular tin box inside, covered in Cyrillic writing with a wood handle sticking out of it.
I pulled on the wood handle and the cable attached to it cut the tin box open as I pulled.
This is what was inside
1120 rounds of 1979 vintage Yugoslavian 7.62×39 ammo in 40rnd boxes on stripper clips. Oh, how I like those stripper clips.
I purchased this fromt he same place I got my SKSs a couple weeks back, SOGII. The price was pretty good, not great, but since I didn’t have to go out and buy those damn stripper clips 10 or 20 at a pop, it made it worth it for me (plus, they were out of the Hungarian stuff).
Of course, three days after placing the order I found a place that sells packs of 100 clips for $20. Oh well, I’ll be having fun at the range tomorrow either way.
See you tomorrow.
