The NRA was going to hold it’s 2007 national conference in Columbus, OH. This meeting was expected to bring people from all over the country to Columbus who would leave an estimated $15 Million in the city.
The shortsighted and ignorant city council decided that it would rather increase the firepower superiority of criminals instead and enacted a total ban on handguns (except for high ranking city officials and police, of course) within the city limits.
The NRA, thankfully, had enough balls to cancel the event. And after the things I’ve heard coming out of the NRA offices lately, I’m wondering where they found them.
