You see, I’m off to the family reunion, as hosted by the Analog Mom. The Analog Wife is making her special homemade Guac and an oriental noodle salad.
Wish me luck. At least I’m big enough now that I don’t have to worry about any of my long, lost female relates pinching my cheeks.
As an update to yesterday’s gun parts post, the new SKS’s are now fully accessorized and a case of Yugo manufactured ammo, on stripper clips, has been ordered. Tonight, I will be doing the work necessary to install the new sight I mentioned yesterday and installing the Wolff gunsprings I mentioned here.
I screwed up when ordering a part and will have to reorder the right one. So it is now officially two weeks until the debut of my newest firearms acquisition, seeing as how I spent this weeks check on SKS ammo and will have to wait until 07/01 until I can afford to place the order for the proper part.
But have no fear, you should be suitably impressed. I know I will be.
Oh, and to the emailer who thinks that we should all be stuck using muskets since that is “What the Founding Fathers had in mind”, this ones for you.
When you and all your cohorts give up the internet to exercise your freedom of speech instead of a single sheet printing press, I MIGHT think about giving up my modern firearms. But don’t count on it.
