The Horrors of a Liberal Arts Degree

So you do well enough in school to be able to get accpeted at the University of Massachusetts-Amhurst but you didn’t learn enough real-world knowledge to know better than to not major in a useless course of study.

This is your brain on Women’s Studies:

The Constitution was ratified with the nineteenth Amendment, yet the Declaration of Independence remains the same. Women now have the legal right to vote but they are not entitled to “certain unalienable rights … among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” The Declaration of Independence provide these three rights to “all men,” with no mention of women. Now, one may argue that women are legally given these rights as citizens of the United States.

If women were granted these three rights, I doubt that there would be a gender gap in wage earnings, violence against women, unsafe abortions and substantially more women than men in poverty; these ugly realities severely undercut women’s right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

OK, That is actually Samantha Sharac’s brain on Women’s Studies, but you get the picture.

Mz. Sharac is still angry about Harvard President Lawrence Summer’s theory about men and women being genetically different pertaining to the study of hard science and she wrote this insipid screed for the UM-A student newspaper, The Daily Collegian.

Ravenwood found it originally and he proceeds to ride Mz. Sharac, oops I mean Mz. Sharac’s ignorance of history, like a dime store pony.

A 50x drink alert is in effect if you follow the link.

Friends don’t let friends major in Liberal Arts.
